There you go, being a damn liberal. I did not make those dots, and you shouldnt have assumed that connection. Thats where youre flat ass wrong. My comment was merely intended to show that polls are incorrect at times. Furthermore, a poll like that, and at a time like this, is inherently skewed, if even legitimately conducted. Im dubious of any poll released directly after an event the poll concerns, regardless of the subject.
For instance, in 2013, droves of Vols thought BJ was Neyland incarnate. Ask the same ones how they felt after the FL game this past year, and the responses would have been night and day.
Youre using a logical fallacy to justify your position. I posed this to you in my comment (#559) that youve yet to answer. Anyone intent on inflicting carnage through atrocities will find a way to commit these heinous acts, no matter how much you censor their right to bear arms (e.g. black market, alternate attacks, etc.). If you cant reconcile that, then I hope the US has 5 guns to every one person. Nothing like pissing one of you off....
I stand corrected. Your initial point was pointless. Kudos on making the distinction.
Secondly, your point about the timing of the polls is irrelevant because, as I've already stated, the polls I was speaking of were not given in the immediate aftermath of a tragedy.
Lastly, your final point contains an illogical assumption. Namely, that everyone prohibited from buying a gun will find an alternate manner in which to inflict the same damage.
Carry on.
