Official Bracketology Thread

Then the NCAA is more biased than I thought.

They would be 18-13 and have a Top 45 rpi, hard to make a strong case saying they should be left out without knowing what the bubble would look like.

Maybe with an opening round SECT loss it could get dicey so maybe I should’ve said 2-4 down the stretch makes them a lock, but my point remains, they’re dancing.

Could we get the '11/30/17' dropped from the thread title? And just make this the dedicated bracketology thread?

Vols drop 1 in latest update of the matrix. OSU moves higher. They have 3 games down the stretch they could easily lose.. at Penn St (who already won in Cbus), at Michigan, and at Indiana.

Michigan will be a big game, if OSU wins it would probably cause the committee to move them over us as it'd be a better win than we could have the rest of the regular season.

I don't see us getting a 2 seed unless we win out, SEC tourney included, from here. 4 seems most likely imo but a 3 is certainly attainable. I'd love to see us run the table for the next 3 weeks and get a strong 3.

I think we win out if we can beat Florida. That will secure at least a 2 seed in the SEC tourney. All it would take is one win to be in the SEC championship game. I think we land a 3 seed in that scenario.

Winning at MSU will be very hard

Think you’d have to win 2 to be in SECT championship game, even with double bye.

Bottom 4 have to win 4 to get to Sunday, middle 6 need 3, top 4 need 2.

BTW, TN is only 2 games out of 8th place in the SEC. It's a log jam. I'm a Kentucky fan today.

So I was correct in that it would take 2, right?

And yea, all of us should be Kentucky fans tonight, seems pretty obvious to me.

Yup. Top 4 only have to win on Friday and Saturday to get to the Sunday championship game. Bottom 4 have to win Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday to get to Sunday. 4th place has a huge advantage over 11th place.

I’m not too sure about the Georgia games at this point

We have to win the SECT to get a 2 seed. Losing one more regular season game doesn’t change that

So the team sheets includes Sagarin ratings. Which right now I think are still dog****. He has Kentucky ranked head of us

My current s-curve projection:

1 - 1)Nova 2)UVA 3)Kansas 4)Xavier
2 - 8)UNC 7)Auburn 6)TX Tech 5)Cincy
3 - 9)Purdue 10)Duke 11)MSU 12)WVU
4 - 16)OSU 15)Arizona 14)Gonz 13)Tenn

Purdue lacking in the Q1 department, West Virginia helped by it

No Clemson?

Right now as a 2 seed in SEC Tourney we could very well end up playing UK in our first game if they end up a 7 seed as projected. Would not want to play UK for a 3rd time.
