My daughter won twice today in heats at the championships. Her relay team dominated their heat, and she won her freestyle. They’re only middle school, so they can’t qualify for state, but good practice. Her, and her relay team had outstanding times overall, finishing way up on the list which includes the high schools. I also got a Go Vols! Just proud of her.

The girlfriend and I in Smithville, TX last Saturday night. We’ve known each other since high school. In 2016 she asked me to run a half marathon with her and over the last 18 months, something very special has developed. Soulmates are real.

My daughter got her medal tonight at the swim banquet for doing her IM. She did the race last year, but got disqualified for getting out of the water too soon. She’s waited all year to get this, and she finished with 8th best time. Not bad for a 7th grader cause that included high school also. Just proud of her.
