He bobbled it pretty clearly after step 1 and that 3rd step was out of bounds which meant it should have been overturned.

3rd step was actually in.

You could only see the proper view on 1 angle though and they only showed it once. Guessing that’s the one the ref saw to uphold the call.

I couldn't figure out how any of them were questionable. There is a point where they need to quit over analyzing every catch. If you need to look at it in super slow motion for 20 minutes (See Pig Howard) then it shouldn't be over turned.

Agree. NFL is planning to revisit in the off season and change it back. It's ridiculous now.

Amazes me how much Barnett was double teamed tonight. Can’t wait to see what he looks like in a couple years. Gonna be elite
Barnett will obviously have a long career in the NFL. However, he was hardly double teamed tonight. Just got dominated by a very good LT in Solder. Huge play to recover that fumble though.

This.

The in-bounds turf debris came up as his foot touched it and before it fully came down out of bounds.

If he has a good agent....

I was thinking in the 10-12M range after the bump, but your right...some dumb team probably will give him 20.

Cleveland Browns are probably already calling.

The Browns be like...

Incorrect. Foot drug and kicked up pellets

Maybe we are counting steps differently.

I am saying the 2nd step after he gained control he was clearly out. I thought it was the 3rd overall step but maybe it was the 4th but after he initially caught it he bobbled it

After the recovery they put 2 blockers on him

I’m really curious to know what Malcom Butler did to make Belichick sit him the whole game, especially in the super bowl.

Correct. Was easy to see in the angle where the white endline was the background, couldn’t see it on most of the angles they showed with the dark backdrop of the end zone

Don't take the bait.

Too late...ah well.

Suck it, Brady!

We are talking about the same step. Only showed the replay where you could see it once on the broadcast.

I don't call playing your assignment as being "dominated". His responsibility was to chip the TE or swing receiver coming outside to disrupt the timing while engaging the OT. That's why he is in the 9 technique. If nobody came his way he was free to speed rush.

They didn't want people to see it. If the roles were reversed they would have rolled the tape multiple times. It was clear who Michaels and Collingsworth in particular were hoping won.
