It's actually pretty obvious that Kirby learned a lot from Saban in the decade he worked for him and is replicating a lot of Saban's "Process" at UGA.
Idk what Bama boards you lurk on, but I very rarely see what you've describe on the two I frequent. Instead, the vast majority seem glad that Kirby is doing well.
We thoroughly enjoyed the highly competitive Bama vs UGA game. Looking forward to the next one.
:toast:
Was Walker waivering with his Bama commitment before we hired Pruitt?
Yes. However, the definition of "waivering" is pretty squishy when it comes to recruiting. Means different things to different recruits. Walker has said that he associates the amount of attention he gets from coaches with how much he is valued. If a staff turns up the intensity of how they recruit him, he tends to reciprocate.
UGA is not a factor. They were before Pruitt came to UA but when Kirby was still at UA his interest was in UGA and Pruitt. He has also stated that depth charts and early playing time are a factor. UT he will play early. UGA is a free visit and in the end UT will be his school because of Pruitt and early playing time.
Also do not get to worried about anything coming from UGA sites after his visit. They put out that he wanted to sign early with them but they could not get the paperwork pushed through in time which I do not believe is the case. UGA, UA, or anyone for that matter could not have gotten Walker signed in December and had no control on the situation either.
Per Walker They tried to send the papers to me but I didnt do the NCAA Clearing house,
No school has anything to do with the clearing house. Walker and his HS have to submit the required paperwork to the NCAA Clearing House before he can sign any scholarship paperwork and play in college. He had not done that. But yet the UGA sites said the only reason he did not sign early was on their end.
UGA took the lead last night for Rick Sandidge, never turn down elite DL. They would like to add one DL, one CB, and best available after that. They may spend that spot on another elite CB/S. Otis Reese wants in, waiting on the green light, they are seeing Goodrich today in home, and they have two WR that want in with a Antoine Green and Tommy Bush. Coley wants one more WR in their class. Id be surprised if Quay is not a Vol, the team who wants him the most will get him.
How many spots does UGA have left?
20 signed and two verbal commits who didn't sign early. So at least five spots left. Campbell and Sandidge have spots regardless. That leaves the two verbals, and there is some chatter that one of those still has work to do to qualify. Sandidge's decision is key IMO. Georgia's board probably looks something like this:
Jordan Davis - verbal commit
Tramel Walthour - verbal commit
Campbell
Sandidge
Walker
Reese
Green
Bush
