I'm not saying I ever will. I do know several people that stick the 1st LCP down in their watch pocket and the barrel/trigger is not exposed. They have for years and not had any issues. Very easy to access because the grip is right there above their pocket. I'm not comfortable doing that right now and not saying I ever will.
You can give yourself a headache watching all the youtube videos debating pocket carry dos and don'ts...
Do any of you own in-ear electronic hearing protection? If so, any recommendations?
I want something in-ear so I can easily use it when shooting shotguns as muffs tend to get in the way and also arent practical when hunting. And they would be used more frequently at indoor pistol ranges.
What Ive seen so far can get quite expensive, but Im willing to splurge if it's for good ones that will last me, as I have now begun shooting a lot
Going to look at 3 glocks later this week. the 19, 26, and 43. I want something that my wife will feel comfortable using at the range and want to go back. She's a little on edge around guns. She said she cant believe I MADE her get her carry permit.
I have a 26 and love it. You really need to have your wife shoot it before you choose. I bought two guns (Bodyguard & 38 snub) before I realized that you don't buy a gun for someone without letting them shoot it.
The 19 will have the least recoil but is the largest and hardest to carry or conceal. The 43 is the smallest and the 26 is a good compromise. I have a 10 and 15 round mag for mine. The 10 to carry and the 15 when it goes into the gunsafe.
One other note. I would love to have a 43 for my wife, but she wants to carry it in her purse, and a Glock just isn't made for that. Thus I'll end up with a P238 soon for her.
Enjoy the hunt.

My neighbor has the 26 but its a .40. It's feels better in my hand than his 19. Haven't held the 43 yet. I've seen the aftermarket mag extender plates for the 43 that allow for 7 and 8 so it may be an option. It won't be for her to carry. this will basically be a range/defense gun, at least to start with.I have a 26 and love it. You really need to have your wife shoot it before you choose. Maybe y'all can give me some advice / guidance. I currently own 2 handguns a Glock 21 & Ruger Redhawk 7.5". I've finally went and renewed my ccp and am starting to carry both for personnel and as part of a security detail. I've found that the 21 is just too big for a ccw. It's huge, heavy, and just not very concealable. Obviously the Ruger isn't an option, so I'm in the market for be ccw. Unfortunately I'm on a budget of $350. I love my 21 and would like to get a 36 but that goes well above my budget. I've found a couple options that I like but am looking for input on either or other options that y'all might know of.
1st is a Taurus 605 .357 mag. Msrp is about 350-375 but a local shop has them about $280.
Tactical Guns & Ammo | Taurus 605 Standard 357 Remington Magnum 2" 5rd Poly Grip Stainless
2nd is a Kahr cw45 it's roughly the size of a G36, but I can get it right at my budget cap.
Tactical Guns & Ammo | Kahr CW45 45ACP/3.5" Barrel, 6 Round, Burnt Bronze
Any input is appreciated.
Thanks guys, I'd looked into the m&p but I can't find it anywhere locally for less that $450.
I've gotten to try a smaller .45 but not as small as what I'm looking at. It wasn't too bad, more than the 21 obviously, but not too bad. One of the shops here has a indoor range and some rental guns cheap, and I got to try out a Glock 30 they had. I just gotta say being on a budget sucks.
Have a look at the Smith and Wesson M&P Shield in .45acp. Usually goes for around $350.
