I was going to suggest a backpack too but you can get a small bag with wheels that are larger than a typical backpack. I usually carry a small back and a backpack that will fit under the seat.

Wife banned me from using a duffle bag said I had to get a suitcase. Most of the clothes for the trip, extra pair of shoes, toiletries. Will be gone a week but will also have a check luggage.

The only time I’ve ever flown with my dad he used garbage bags for luggage Lol. Seeing people at Boston Logan look at him like he was homeless was hilarious.

I have a bag from back when I was in high school that I use as my luggage. Not allowed this time😢

Excellent idea IYAM. No way their necks and cranial structure is strong enough even from a relatively equal impact hit. Some 12 year olds are just markedly larger than their peers. The disparity in size is dangerous. Remember that photo of Isaiah Stokes, kid was comically big lol.
