'18 GA LB Quay Walker (UGA signee)

Imagine how much Pruitt was paying to consistently beat them out for recruits

Auburn only goes big on the guys they determine to be gamechangers. That is why it is hard to beat them out on a player they've decided to go all out on. I believe that is what Hubbs is talking about in regards to Auburn laying in the weeds. He probably knows that AU has determined Quay to be one of those type of franchise players. They will go allllll out on him this weekend if so, and it wouldn't surprise me to see him end up there. It is the only way they compete with Alabama.

They may not be able to go all out on him if they also consider Coynis Miller a franchise-type recruit as he is visiting Knoxville. If Pruitt and UT give him a hard decision then Auburn going to have to keep something in reserve. Or concede one.

Their war chest is full..They will only target a few really big targets with Cam type money. I find how they operate fascinating. I used to know a guy when I lived in Crapperbammer who told me how they did it. I thought he was full of it at the time, but in the 12 years since then I have seen evidence time and time again of it in action. I'm sure Pruitt knows what is up.

What is amazing is how they continually get away with it. I mean 100-200$ handshake's are untraceable, but how do you get away with 50-200,000$ cash payments? They are creative geniuses at getting it done.

I wonder if our play nice, choir boy oversight people will get shoved out of the way now that Phil is in charge?

I see that getting really frustrating for Pruitt to deal with if they are not.

status quo with quay walker. The 4-star linebacker is still an alabama commit after his official visit with the tide, but this has become a three-team race — with the other school in alabama making a late push. Tennessee, georgia and now auburn are the schools in serious contention for walker, per sources. He will be at auburn this weekend and uga next weekend. Notably, pruitt still has his in-home visit for next week, and tennessee’s depth chart (or lack there of) remains the most attractive of all options

That last sentence may be the first time anybody in Alabama has been accused of anything resembling genius. Hahaha.
