CBS recognizing that Tennessee is finishing strong on recruiting

Florida does not have to be great they only have to be good or really good to cause us problems. Historically, no matter who the coach was, Florida has lived up to that. Because of the sheer amount of talent in Florida.

Florida, California, texas and Atlanta supply more college athletes than the rest of the country combined. I guarantee you look up any college that wins in D1 and 9/10 they have contributors from those places.. period. try me my google skills are legit and I already checked.

I already know where the top high school players are. And I’m also aware that we have a new staff and who knows how well he will do against Florida. Also, I’m not talking about head to head matchups of UT vs. Florida, I’m talking overall greatness as a program. I don’t think Mullen is that great of a coach and I believe we dodged a bullet not signing him on as our HC. I truly believe we got the better deal with Pruitt.

We never learn. The cart does not go before the horse. We have not returned to squat. The same thing was said of CLK, CDD, then CBJ, and now CJP. So far none of them have taken us there.

I don't give CJP props for getting us in the top 20 recruiting. That is bottom tier of the SEC.
I won't give him props for juggling two jobs. His championship earned at Bama doesn't help Tennessee at all and I care nothing about his ring that says BAMA on it.
It's not a good job for talking a good game. CLK said we would party all night after beating Florida. CDD said you won't have Tennessee to kick around anymore. CBJ said tried to shove PMA down our throats.
He doesn't get a pass to change the culture. Blah blah blah. Wins matter.
He shouldn't be praised for taking us to the music city bowl. The only game that matters is played in Atlanta.
He has not taken us anywhere near where we used to be. You people can crown another UT savior before he wins a single game of you want to. You might as well. Kids believe in santa, religious grown children believe in miraculous fairy tales that they ridicule other religions for believing, why can't vol fans be just as full of hope and blind faith in a man who has yet to accomplish a single meaningful thing. Crown the man if you want to but Tennessee is not back to where they used to be until they at least get to Atlanta. Right now Tennessee has a losing streak against EVERY team in the SEC.

Well ain't you just full of optimism. He may not have done any thing for us yet besides improve the recruiting by over 40 points but he sure did a lot for Fl ST Georgia and Alabama. So just give him a little time, Sunshine.

40 spots means what? Means absolutely nothing. We are still bottom of the SEC in recruiting. Until he wins I will be a skeptic. After over a decade of some of the worst football in all of college football I will believe he can do the job when he starts doing it. I don't have to to give him a chance. He has a chance even I am in wait and see. You might be able yo give him time and some passes but I won't. Win or GTFO. No more Dooley's and no more Jones. Atlanta or bust. Realistic or not that is the goal every year. You fools want to be back, then demand the coach do it and stop with early crowning for recruiting at the bottom of the SEC. He gets no props for that.

I don't care what he did as DC at Georgia, Florida State, or Bama. I care what he does at Tennessee as head and so far, that's jacksheet!

And there is a good chance everyone of those streaks will be extended in 2018.

We lost 8 games for the first time ever in 2017. What if we lose 9 in 2018? It is possible - new coaches - players with experience transferring or leaving.

You don't like Koolaid? My fear is that Saban retires next season and we lose a good coach. Rumor is Dabo not interested.

With Pruitt and his coaches recruiting like this. And Fulmer as AD giving Pruitt the resources Tennessee football will be back on top soon. Pruitt is going after the type of players that can win championships. And the kids seem to really like Pruitt. Lot of our other coaches have SEC ties. That's a good thing. Like our WRs coach. He has tire to Memphis, Mississippi, and Louisiana.

We’re currently SIXTH. There are 8 teams below us. You’re kinda liberal with your “bottom”.

You think 6th is good? You are happy about that? If your not in the top 3 you are not where you need to be. Everything else is trash. The expectations around here are now garbage.

I hope he is focused on finding how to win. If he is concerned about what fans think then we are screwed again. Not sure why you believe I think he cares one bit about my expectations. I never said he did.

Did you want Schiano instead of Pruitt? 6th is good based on what we just went through, and the fact that 2 SEC teams met in the national championship game.

Battered Vol Syndrome. I recognize it.

Are you going to be able to wait for the games? Or do you need a directed verdict? :)

That's exactly my point. All this "we're back" is just trash. Tennessee is not even close to being back. Get the wins and I will believe. Until then we are not back.

Never said I want Schiano. Trash point. I said stop saying we are back. Utterly false. He hasn't coached a game but we should crown him the one who has brought us back. Get to Atlanta. Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, LSU, and Florida having better classes than Tennessee means we are not getting it done yet. That means we are out recruiting nobody that matters!
