Ha what a joke

A few teams I expect to not play to expectations

Georgia, LSU, Missouri, West Virginia, Oregon, Wisconsin, Texas Tech, VT, BYU, Boston College, Cincinnati

A few teams I think will play to expectations, or surprise

USC, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Clemson, Kansas, Arizona St, Wake Forest, Alabama, Fla St, Notre Dame, North Carolina, and of course Tennessee...

ASU has zero chance against Georgia. ASU wont be ranked by the end of the season IMO. They don't have 8 home games this year.

we would be #2 behind usc/ohio st winner sadly

I would have no problem with that. They are #2 and #3 and if they don't lose they deserve to be higher than a team that started off at #18 and worked their way up.

I think USC will crush tOSU and I may fly out early enough to watch that game Saturday and the UT game on Monday.

Texas Tech? Why in the hell are they so sexy of a pick this year? Cause they beat Oklahoma last year? BYU? Don't get it. Last but not least Georgia, hope they enjoy the fall.

Keep doubting Dennis Erickson. It will allow you to continue looking silly.

I for some reason (I didnt check but I guess I heard it was their home opener) was thinking they played the first game. I guess you answered that for me. I will now fly out on Saturday. Espcecially since they open at Virginia.

Texas Tech? Why in the hell are they so sexy of a pick this year? Cause they beat Oklahoma last year?

It's cause they return most of their starters along with a decent season last year. Really too, i think the media just wants this team to finally do well after so many years of pumping out how good their offense is and how many passing yards they put up per game/season

Something tells me OU isn't the fourth best team in the country. However, there's nobody ranked behind them I would feel comfortable saying is going to finish ahead of the Sooners.

I thought I heard Erickson say he wakes up at night in a cold sweat after viewing film of Georgia. Obviously he saw no film of the UT/UGA, SC/UGA, or Vanderbilt/UGA games.

That inspires great confidence to his team, I'm sure.

If the media was concerned with the public opinion on them then they should rank them low if not at all. Then by the end of the season when we once again are taught that with out a defense you're not going to will a damn thing, they will look impressive in their #20+ spot. Then, everyone is happy and Mike Leach can go look for pirates.

i don't really have any issues with this.....it's pre season poll afterall.....but i do find the VT and LSU rankings a tad high. KS will eventually start to fall as well.
Hat i think said he didn't think OU was the 4th best team, but didn't see anyone ranked behind them that was that much better.........i would say FL is better than OU right now.....

as for our ranking......eh......i thought it might be closer 14-16......but at this point.......what is really the difference between 16 and 18.....

GA will probalby finish in the top 10.......being pre season no. 1.......no way they go wire to wire.....:birgits_giggle:

winner of USC/OSU is almost a certain participant in the NC game.

and i look for them to play Florida.

You have to ask yourself,

'If we had a schedule that included,,,BYU, Clemson, Wisconsin, Kansas and Texas Tech, would you feel intimidated and afraid?":post-4-1090547912:

There is about five teams ranked ahead of us that shouldn't be. Why is clemson all of a sudden a sexy pick for acc champ. They'll disappoint just like every year.

Clemson has a very good team this year, coupled with the fact that the ACC as a whole is down, its basicly thiers to lose. Thier talent is way above the rest of their conferance right now. Plus thier schedule is very....lets say favorable.
