Trump refers to immigrants from Haiti and Africa as being from s***hole countries.

Absolutely, I think it was another example of Trump appearing racist.

As for my thread, you don't really get a thread rolling without a provocative title. Everyone is willing to overlook everything he does and justify absolute buffoonery.

If he'd shut his mouth he'd be a far more effective leader. I like some of the things he's done and dislike others. But the perception of him being a racist has been earned with his actions and his stupid comments.

However, your question came loaded with the assumption that I always attacked Trump with a racism angle and that simply isn't true. I have attacked when the comments were so far out of whack as to clearly allow an implication of race.

Racism is not an either you are or you aren't type of issue. You have the most racist person in the world and the least racist person in the world. Everyone else falls somewhere in between those two. It's a continuum.

People can and do move along the continuum. Sometimes the overall trend of movement is to the less racist extreme and sometimes it's to the more racist extreme. Trump has moved the balance to the more racist extreme.

I really want to believe you...

I mean, how could a question like "are people ready to admit Trump is a racist yet" not be construed as loaded or anything? Silly pedestrian folks just don't understand provocation.

"You stop beating your wife yet?"

What happens to be wrong with being a janitor, fruit picker or fry cook? Are you and your kids too good to do that sort of work?

Why don't you get off your high horse and realize not everyone can graduate from college with their liberal arts degree and make six figures starting out. It's people like you that have to hand out achievement trophies to everyone and condition them to think they're too good for those "low class jobs."

It's idiots like you that perpetuate the welfare state by allowing those that can work not to work and paying them not to work. Because "someone my kids are too good for that job."

Kindly shut it and move on, child.

LOL! This coming from you... naming yourself the uber pretentious "Grandvol" with your blue-heeled, haughty avatar. You are by far the most arrogant poster on the politics board. Laughable.

But I digress...

In the real world, GV, most kids of middle-class families and higher don't work. I guess since you're like 90, you're simply just out of touch with reality. They don't have summer jobs, and they don't know the meaning of hard work. In fact, lifeguard, waiter and cleaning jobs here are staffed mostly by Ukrainians and other Eastern Europeans.

The only "welfare state" that exists is that of kids created by parents like you, not J9 imported workers.

I don't know if that statement is racist as much as it is about how he feels about the poor.

I know Jesus would not be pleased.

A better analogy would be this. Trump is having a block party at his mansion. He says to invite everyone on the block from the nice houses but make sure no one from those poor houses gets an invitation.

Sounds like my invitation list. If you had friends I'd bet yours would be similar.

Don't mistake my superior intellectual position to your childish attitude as "arrogance."

And it's Grand Vol. Two words.

Otherwise, nothing in your post actually gave an response to the statements I made. You just chose to make half witted, childish prods that show you are ill equipped to get into this discussion with me.

Where is "here"?

I think my family is middle class and both of my kids held jobs in both HS and college, they didn't have an option.

I'm kind of hurt, I was going for most arrogant in the VN superlatives.

Actually, anytime I've been associated with a block party, I've made it a point to make sure everyone is invited. Even when it's known that some have no desire to attend. It's the decent and proper thing to do. Plus, in the long run, it makes the block get along much better and helps minimize future problems and conflicts.

I chose "block party" as my analogy for a reason.

Arrogance and ignorance walk hand-in-hand. You're living proof.

I don't live in a subdivision so I don't have a reference.

Again, don't mistake your own ignorance and lack of an argument to my points as arrogance.

I would say maybe someday you'd grow up, but I don't want you to get your hopes up for something that just isn't going to happen.

Naaahhh, we differ in perspectives but you're sincere and reasonable... usually. :)

I live in OBX...prior to that suburbs of NOVA. Same in both places. Parents don't force their kids to work... They just give them $, cars, etc. Pot, heroin and coke is common. Work ethic is not.

Just when I thought you couldn't be more ignorant you go and type something like that. Congrats :good!:

If you have a mansion and are throwing a block party and worry about the poor houses..you don't have a Mansion.
