Much respect for CJP for finishing what he started.

please don't misunderstand and think I'm avoiding your question. I've answered it already but will do it one more time and remove your confusion - Idgaf about Kirby Smart and his reasons. It doesn't mean a damn thing to me or the situation at UT.

I've given a good reason that you and Jake have skipped multiple times. His staff is incomplete in major areas

A WR coach and an S&C coach one of whom was still coaching a game yesterday if not both. Neither you,nor I know at this moment who it is. Hurd and Kamara as well as some others have off-season trainers prior to spring practice. Those two had a trainer in Ft. Lauderdale along with a lot of pro players. Your not going to admit that you are reaching and we are paying a guy $3.7+ mil that knows the coaches he needs.

I guess I'll just have to have a talk with Fulmer about his age apparently catching up with him. I just can't understand how he could possibly over look someone like you who appears so committed to UT football not to give you at least an interview. Or maybe he did and you priced yourself out of the picture. Guess UT will just have to go with good ole Pruitt. Good Luck and Happy New Year !! Go Vols!

I'll admit that I am not privy to the inner workings of a major college football program, but I seriously doubt Pruitt would be managing it if her were there. He would delegate that to someone else.

Delegate to someone like the S&C coach? :dunno:

Unless you have inside information, you don't know that they were not given instructions and goals to work on over the break. The sky isn't falling man. Ease up.

Who gave the instructions? There is no one in place to do that.

Do better. This is the only thing I have criticized him on and I have praised his recruiting.

You just displayed a classic symptom of the blind followers on here.

as opposed to the classic "nega" rants you've gone on here.

chicken/egg.

he'll get judged for what he does on the field, regardless of what these two games mean in the grand scheme.

and just like if he turns out to be really really good, it won't be because he wasn't here for 3 weeks, it won't matter if he's really really bad.

these two games won't have a thing to do with it, either way.

Yes I was nega on Dooley and Jones.

How effing crazy of me.

Just insane.

You cannot read. I don't care enough to help you.

Which essentially means that you agree that no permanent damage is being done by Pruitt’s absence for the next seven days. So with that obvious fact acknowledged, what is the point of all of your immature whining and moaning about his absence?

so now we've gone down this sad, predicable path? Guess it was only a matter of time

I've never claimed to be a football coach. I'm simply a lifelong UT fan watching his currently under contract head coach give his all for bama and it sucks. I look forward to a week from now when UT finally ranks above Alabama to the currently under contract head coach of UT

Your question is so dumb.

There is no such thing as irreparable harm. Good grief, PSU is still fresh off a pedophile ring in their showers and they have a top 10 program. It is like you are in left field.

It is a message board. Words hurt your brain. Grow up.

typical...divert attention from the ACTUAL point again. that has nothing to do with the point i made.....

No no big shot. You want to claim I am full nega. That is your divert, not mine.

Your accusation just failed, that's all.

Then you should be mad a Fulmer for not walking away and getting someone else, not at Pruitt for showing a little class.

I'm actually mad at UT for allowing Fulmer to weasel his way back into the football program but that's a topic for another thread

Just because there is not currently a director of strength and conditioning does not mean that there is not anybody in place within the entire strength and conditioning program that could give instructions. While it has been announced that Rock will not be retained, I have not seen any official announcement on Szerszen or any of the other people in the department

the funny thing is.....no one WANTS this to be the scenario. but it is. so you don't like it.....that's fine, i really don't blame you.

it's just not a huge deal in the grand scheme. some can move on from it easier than others.

happy new year...y'all have a great day.

Hee hee hee...you said Fulmer and weasel in the same sentence.

If you had worked in 'Krispy Kreme', that post would have won the daily trifecta.

Retaining anyone on that s&c staff would be worse than not having one

They were in December and should have goals/programs over the break. They have nothing and are likely getting worse over the break

They'll be riding the pine for slacking too. Those who want to play put conditioning and academics ahead of other things. You are wrong for saying they have nothing because anyone can walk into a training center just about anywhere in this country. Fact is most football players aren't on campus now. Some will slack off and some were notorious for it but at this time of year the players just aren't here but I'd suspect coach Rock is still here because his replacement hasn't been announced.

for someone that regularly accuses people of poor reading comprehension, i'd of expected you to keep up with the actual point of that conversation better.

It’s a great question actually. What are you pms-ing about 7 days of his absence if you yourself acknowledge it won’t do any permanent damage?

No evidence one would be hired by now anyway. He's barely had 3 weeks and S&C coach was probably not at the top of the list. I admit we need help in that dept. I also blame some of that on Jones for not developing depth. No matter how conditioned the players are, they can't play entire games and a lot of defensive issues were plainly because they were on the field too much.

Who gave the instructions? There is no one in place to do that.

You don't know that. You just don't like it that he isn't here. Maybe an assistant S&C coach is working with the players until a new head man is brought in.

Do you always feel like someone is screwing you or is it just me.

Ok dude, I am glad you have such great knowledge on a staff where you do not even know most of their name. Plus he could easily be holding on to some of them just in an interim basis the new guy comes in and brings his staff in. At this point you are just talking out of your ass with assumptions on things you know nothing about

"i don't like it, and if you don't either, you have low standards"

why?

"you're a sheep that blindly follows any coach at UT"

huh?

It’s classic allvol123. When confronted with facts or that shoot down his argument or questions he can’t answer then he screams reading comprehension and claims the other person missed the point. When in reality, he had no point to begin with.

I know who they are but for brevity on mobile they are "staff". Rock has already been given his papers. Given what we saw on the field in 2016 and 2017, why would the new coach feel confident in using the old staff to build up his athletes?
