To Protect and to Serve II

TM was caught at a traffic stop, therefore we should keep them.

That's equal to saying: "a crack head once saved someone, we should legalize crack"

Granted we should legalize crack, but not for that absurd reasoning. Just like TM being caught at a traffic stop doesn't justify all traffic stops

"All rapists have done something good at some point for another person, so we should legalize rape"

That's the same logic as:

"A traffic stop once led to the arrest of a terrorist, so keep traffic stops"

The guy who wants crack to be legal and applauds the killing of cops has removed his ability to be taken seriously.

You’ve gone straight down the trash bin. Pure trash. Lol

You should work on educating yourself on what a border is. Start with the easy things.

Why should crack not be legal? Didn't you just argue for increasing freedom and limiting laws?

Simply human nature. You try to legislate something that responsible adults want to do, and it ends in failure...

New Zealanders build island in bid to avoid alcohol ban

But a well-known community organiser Noddy Watts said the ban was not working and was simply resulting in swathes of arrests.

He said the police were "dealing with drunk teens".

"That's not what they are there for. That's what parents are there for," he said, according to the New Zealand Herald.

"The police and St John were getting frustrated with the result and said it has to change," said Mr Watts according to the New Zealand Herald.

I have no idea how you got that from my comment. I'm arguing against frivolous laws that allow cops to pull somebody over for the slightest reasons.

You sarcastically pointed out that the cops didn’t prevent the OKC bombing. It was a really stupid thing to say, even sarcastically.

Would you like laws which would prevent every single act of crime? That type of smothering government? Because we don’t have that now. You argued against yourself.

That would be illegal.

Another example of the necessity to educate yourselves.

Technically you're right (depending on which of the contradicting laws you're referring to) but judicial system has been letting law enforcement defecate on people's rights (especially the 4th amendment) for decades.

I say go for it. I'm sure the courts will have your back and most of the morons in this country would probably love to have you do it.

4th amendment has been pretty sacred imo. Very few rulings have tainted the intent. Exigency can be argued for some searches afforded LE and they usually are. Even the vehicle exclusions have been reeled in to an extent recently.

While we're on the subject of stupid statements, stating that crime can be totally eliminated is complete foolishness.

I'm simply arguing in favor of an individual's right to travel freely without being harassed over trivial "violations" cooked up by politicians and enforced by police.
