D4H's 2017 NFL Draft Review (Best Picks, Best Drafts, and Predictions)

Hey you got 2 D4H!

Once again game picks are mostly for fun. My expertise is in projecting players from college to the NFL. I also understand football so I can predict who will win the national title. Since October 1st, I've been saying it'll be Georgia. And I'm about to be proven right.

You have just proven conclusively that your eye test is bull****.

My eye test is undefeated. I identified Matt Breida before the draft as a sleeper. After he went undrafted I said he was a steal. Not many undrafted free agents even make the team. The guy I identified has gotten significant playing time as a rookie.

I would say that was a heck of a find by me.

If you think Breida is anywhere near as good as Hyde, you don’t know what you’re looking at.

This is where watching tape comes in. Most of Bosa's sacks are luck. He's not as dominant as those numbers suggest.

Really? Then why have the former coaches and scouts who break down film for pro football focus graded him as elite in both of his seasons? They don’t pay attention to stats, they just watch film. Actual film, not YouTube highlights.

Kelvin Taylor is proof your test is not undefeated. He’s probably selling insurance these days

How’s Brad Kaaya doing? Been released what, three or four times now?

He'll be fine. He's a Matt Ryan clone. In a few years he'll get his chance and develop into a pro-bowl QB.

And this reminds me, I feel like an idiot for not staying high on Patrick Mahomes. I know early on during my tape review of all the QB prospects, I had him in the same tier as Brad Kaaya. But as I saw more of him, I soured. Looking at it now, I think he'll be the 3rd best QB in this class and has a serious chance at being a perennial pro-bowler. So before ya'll say I'm jumping on his bandwagon, I wanna make this clear.

Top QBs from the 2017 NFL Draft
1. Joshua Dobbs (Steelers) - Future Hall of Famer
2. Brad Kaaya (Colts) - Perennial Pro Bowler
3. Patrick Mahomes (Chiefs) - Perennial Pro Bowler
4. Deshaun Watson (Texas) - Pro Bowl Talent but injury prone

Dobbs will be the SUPERSTAR of this class. Look for Kaaya to be a Matt Ryan type that is solid but not remarkable. Mahomes will have an up and down career. And as we've already seen from Deshaun I expect his star to shine bright but for only a short period of time.

I just noticed Brad Kaaya is on the Indianapolis Colts now. That's a perfect landing spot for him IMO. He needs to play in a dome since he doesn't have the strongest arm. And with Andrew Luck's injury history, there is a decent chance he gets to play enough games to earn a shot at becoming a starter.

I'm still confident in Brad Kaaya developing into a really good starting QB.

I can't tell if this is for real or a joke.
Brad Kaaya has already been cut by two teams that needed an up-and-coming backup quarterback. He was simply awful!
Is he like your cousin or something?

ROFL....add this to the list of extremely overused phrases by you.

Remember draft day, when Dobbs had about 5 "perfect landing spots"? ROFL.

You think a guy that’s been released 3 times and can’t even find a home and consistent paycheck as a back up is gonna be a pro bowler? Lol Jesus man this is just proof you’ll standby you’re bad predictions even when their obviously wrong

He’s pretty damn close to being out of the league if he’s been released that much already. Obviously his game is missing something if he can’t even find a way to stay a team as a backup

The dream is almost over and I’ll bet you he’s pretty close to accepting it. You should too

Alvin Kamara just named to the AP All-Pro team.

Just as I predicted before the draft, he's developed into an All-Pro.

Next up is Dobbs and Sutton.

Why didn't Corey Davis this year. How about Myles Garret. Evan Ingram? Marcus Maye? Jamal Adams?

Corey Davis and Myles Garrett dealt with hamstring injuries early this year that put them behind. They'll still be the best WR and best DE in the NFL soon.

Evan Engram was awesome but had bad QB play with Eli Manning. Once the Giants draft a good QB this year he'll become the best TE in the NFL in a few years.

Marcus Maye and Jamal Adams had outstanding rookie years. They'll form the best safety duo in the NFL over the next 5 years like Earl Thomas and Kam Chancellor were from 2012-2016.

Matt Ryan has a strong arm. You admit Kaaya doesn’t. What went kaput in the “cloning” process?

Pro Bowl quarterback means top 5 or 6 in the league

Brad Kaaya will never be that not in a million yrs

Seems may not even be able to stick around very long as a backup
