I’ve seen and heard from many visiting fan bases that they have been welcomed to tailgate with Vol fans on our campus.
Perfect strangers.
I, myself, have done this.
I also have paid bar tabs for many a visiting fan and have thanked them for visiting and helping the Knoxville economy.

Championships will be decided on the field, not message boards. Don't take a little razzing from someone so personally....This is their year, ours will come again later...

I've lived near atlanta most of my life unfortunately. I tend to just ignore them, but it's difficult when grown men are barking in your face. It's also hard to have an intelligent conversation about football with a uga fan... they tend to just revert back to caveman days and start barking again when you prove them wrong.

Are we sensing a pattern here, Vol brethren.
Those who live or have lived in Georgia feel differently about Dawg fans than those that don’t or haven’t.

My math tells me CJP gets a year to build, maybe two. We should be able to go head to head with them if we have good coaching and good recruiting.

Not underselling what Kirby is doing at UGA. Got to say though, timing is everything. Richt left talent, and SEC east was a dumpster fire for every other school. Hard to get those moons to all line up for CJP.

I've lived thirty minutes from Athens for the past 20 years, wife went to GT and currently have two children at GT. Dawg fans are the worst. Far worse than fans of other schools. Any claim that all fans are the same is beyond ignorant.

2018 makes 20 years since glory. It's been extremely difficult during these past 20 years to listen to the other SEC fans gloat about their teams. GA fans are among the worst.

I can't wait until we are insufferable again.

I grew up on the TN/GA line and chose to attend school in TN (Bradley Central). My brother chose to attend school in GA. I am a VOL fan... he is a Dog fan. I try to be a Southern gentleman and a Christian... however, with Dog fans I have to really bite my tongue due to their obnoxious ways. I worked for the Department of Labor in both GA and Ohio. I really don't know which fan base is most obnoxious - OHST or UGA's. I can't stand to be around either of their fan base groups.

I live in Atlanta and still wear my UT gear out in public. Have to say I've had some conversations about it but none have been disrespectful. Let the Dogs howl this year...I suspect next year they will come crashing back down to earth. GO VOLS!!!

I’m in Atlanta too and I agree, UGA fans are insufferable right now. I had one UGA fan/friend and co-worker who was going on about being late to work Tuesday because he would be staying up watching to see who UGA would play, already dismissing OU.

The thing that gets me the most is that they act as if they’ve been competing for national titles all along, the last 37 years didn’t happen, they went from 1980 to 2017 overnight. I’m usually a SEC homer, but I wouldn’t mind seeing UGA get spanked.
