I finished the first sentence, I think. If you just go ahead and post a pic, we can issue a rating. That is what this was about, right?

So you skipped the part about how it is the male’s biological imperative to boink every young, fertile female in sight, right? :)

Great, now I feel weird about drinking with you guys in the pub.

Other people drinking doesn't offend me. Lost my liver due to genetics, not drinking. Just decided I needed to quit drinking as to not wreck the new one.

Is that what it said? I just assumed that was common knowledge. Well maybe not the fertile part entirely. When you're young, there's always that two week scare where you're hoping Aunt Flo makes her visit cause you're not quite ready to settle down yet. Women must experience the same thing, right?

Cannot tell you how very very very very glad I am to be past that stuff.

I love my children dearly, but all three were heralded by “Oh crap, where is the calendar?”

Quite the planner, I see;)

I planned, but things went awry.

OK, I will admit, first kid was “what the hell.”

Second was the Today Contraceptive Sponge. (hint: it moves around, so it’s not very effective as a barrier; Elaine, take note!)

Third was day 8 of my cycle. This is NOT supposed to happen!! (love her dearly, but still)

Hubs-at-the-time was a corporate pilot, and I knew exactly when things happened or didn’t.

I did share surprises #2 and #3 with my Cadette Girl Scout troop, because Lord knows, middle-school aged girls get a lot of misinformation, much from boys, most of which is meant to take advantage of them. (“You won’t get pregnant if...” insert unlikely scenarios here...) This is what those Thin Mints and Samoa’s go for. Aka, real-life education. Along with camping at Camp Tanasi in the jungles of poison ivy.

It’s amazing. Erebody’s in heat, it appears. No one connects the dots between what happens tonight and what happens nine months from now.

Hello? It’s kinda inconvenient, but whoa, we have a brand new human being here, uh, someone’s gonna have to raise it, but who? And how? This is important. It’s more than a puppy. Someone needs to approach this with a certain degree of thoughtfulness.

But no, it’s all about scratching that itch right now.

I’m really grateful to be beyond all this crap.

Good for you. You probably shrunk the candidate pool for the show Sixteen and Pregnant on MTV.

Well, hope so anyway.

Got two MD’s, a podiatrist, a lawyer, and a whole lot of happy and productive moms out of the troop, so something worked anyway.

Including the mock OJ Simpson trial, which we acted out in meetings, including what they didn’t want to look at. I beat into their heads that if you lie about one bit of evidence (Mark Fuhrman, we’re looking at you), then no one can give any credibility to anything else you say, and so maybe the jury will have to free someone who was obviously guilty, because your testimony ain’t worth sh!t. So maybe you ought to speak the truth always, and get a reputation for that.

An interesting lesson for a bunch of middle-class white girls. :)
