D4H's 2017 NFL Draft Review (Best Picks, Best Drafts, and Predictions)

Conveniently skipped over the part where he led the league in touchdown passes

SEATTLE - With four touchdown passes Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks, Houston Texans rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson continued his historic start, passing Kurt Warner with 19 touchdown passes through his first seven career NFL games

Now be honest d4h if this was Dobbs you’d be creaming your shorts even if he got hurt but since it’s Watson it’s luck, a flash in the pan! Lol you’re too predictable switch it up maybe try giving some of these guys a little credit

Oh yea Watson also joined Peyton Manning and a few others for most games with three touchdown passes or more(four) in his rookie year and he was only seven games in! He would of shattered that ****ing record

It's funny that y'all keep creating fictional arguments against me when I've made myself clear many times on players like Deshaun Watson.

I actually predicted Watson's rookie year. I said before the season he would win rookie of the year. I have constantly said his skill set is very similar to Dobbs (which is a very high compliment coming from me considering what I think of Josh).

I have only had one reservation about Watson. DURABILITY. I said it before the draft. If I thought he could stay healthy, he would be right behind Dobbs. But since I thought his career would be cut short by injury I didn't rank him high.

Josh Dobbs is basically a more talented and durable version of Deshaun Watson.

Ummm, this is just a bold faced lie. If you're going to be an utter failure, at least have some integrity. Let's see what you really said before the season...

Don't be surprised if Corey Davis is among the league leaders when it comes to receiving yards and TDs. Hell, he might even lead the entire league in those categories.

At the very least, I expect him to run away with the Offensive Rookie of the Year Award unless Dobbs ends up having a season like Dak Prescott (which is possible).

This is what sucks about message boards. You can change your view on something for months but people will pick out an earlier post to try and make you look like a hypocrite.

For the record, I made that post in April after the draft. I changed my pick to Watson in August during the preseason. I made this post on page 30 of this thread:

This isn't the strongest QB class. 2 years of decent production by Watson might be good enough for #3 on the list.

The only guys I feel good about in terms of long term potential is Dobbs and Kaaya.

Watson's star will shine bright but not for very long. Sorta like Vince Young. Remember he was ROY and looked incredible early on before falling apart.

I pretty much predicted Watson's rookie season right here. I said he would shine brightly early on like Vince Young who won rookie of the year. But then it fell apart due to injury. Just as I said many times before.

I've been saying Watson would have a Vince Young like rookie year since August and the NFL preseason.

And this is why we all know you’re full of sh**. You make predictions all over the board. When you have predicted every possibility, of course you’ll be right somewhere, and wrong in 100 other places.

No. What you do is you throw crap against the wall and change your views so you can say you were "right". If Watson hadn't gotten hot and then hurt, you would be bumping your first post about him in April saying you were "right"

No because this is where time comes into play. It's one thing to change your mind after having another position early on. It's another to backtrack.

I don't backtrack.

When was Dobbs ever as good as Watson let alone better

High school? No

College? Hell no

Rookie year? LOL

You could say that about a lot of NFL stars. Was JJ Watt the best player in high school or college? How about Tom Brady? Or even Alvin Kamara?

Most of the very best in the NFL weren't highly ranked as high school recruits or in college.

And on the same page he quoted he had Brad Kaaya at #2. The poor child is pathetic.

I still like Kaaya's potential. He reminds me a lot of Matt Ryan.

It'll take him a few years but I'm confident he'll develop into a franchise QB in a few years.

Watson will be the RG3 of this class. He'll be great early on but fizzle out because of injuries.

I could make a lot of money just picking the opposite of what D4H does.

I could have a team with Goff, Hunt, Marshon Lattimore, Barnett, Reuben Foster, Landon Collins, Cam Robinson, Joey Bosa just from the last couple draft classes.

Meanwhile I’d be going up against his team featuring Brad Kaaya chucking it to Corey Davis and handing off to Kelvin Taylor.

Also on the outside you’d have Cam Sutton trying to check Amari Cooper.

I believe he's back on the Lions right now. After he was cut, the Panthers picked him right up. And somehow he ended up back on the Lions.

He ended up back on the Lions because the Panthers cut him as well.

Then the Lions cut him again, for the 3rd time overall. I believe he’s on their practice squad now.

According to our False Prophet Dobbs & Kayaa were the only franchise QB's in the draft. At the moment that means a 3rd stringer and and a thrice waived no stringer.

This will only make me look better in 2 years when they are both considered frachise QBs.

Dobbs will be an All-Pro MVP candidate in 2019 while Brad Kaaya will be a solid young QB in the NFL with Matt Ryan potential.

RG3 fizzled out because he couldn't play QB in any system other than a read option where he never had to throw further than 5 yards. I don't think that's the case with Watson.

I stated facts, you dug a biased take from up your colon somewhere. I'm not claiming something I can't vet in the here and now...you practically live in a world of hyperbolic speculation.

Please name these quarterbacks that are somehow great in the nfl but weren’t good in college

And don’t name guys that went to small schools like wentz and big ben

When did I say they didn't have to be good in college? I said they weren't considered the best. Tom Brady was good in college but he didn't have the hype around him in college which is why he fell to the 6th round.

And if you are trying to imply Dobbs wasn't good in college, think again. This past year should be proof of just how good Dobbs was at Tennessee. With Dobbs, the Vols scored a school record for points last season. Tennessee led the SEC in offensive TDs scored. Dobbs also broke the school record for TDs in a season One year later without Dobbs and they had a run of nearly a month without an offensive touchdown. And the 2017 Vols were last in the SEC in almost every offensive category.

If 2017 didn't prove how GREAT Josh Dobbs was at Tennessee, I don't know what would.

Truth.

Of the specific games he picked in the preseason, he would have been more accurate had he just flipped a coin.

If you wanna know how much better my game predictions are now just watch this. Here are the 4 bowl games I'm most confident about:

1. Georgia over Oklahoma
2. USC over Ohio State
3. Washington over Penn State
4. Central Florida over Auburn

And 3 of the 4 winners I picked are underdogs. And my only favorite (Georgia) is barely a favorite over Oklahoma.

These 4 games are my lead pipe locks of bowl season.
