Conway and Loretta sang a good version of after the fire is gone.

Seriously?? I will have to go hunt that down. That would be amazing.

edit: oh, nm. They did "After the Fire Is Gone", as you wrote, not "After the Love Is Gone."

I was trippin', trying to imagine such a thing. :)

I plagarized a song by Husker Du (early years) in H.S., passed it off as my own poem, got an A, and never looked back. I knew those yokel teachers didn't listen to hardcore skate thrash music.

I want to figure out a way to create an entirely new identity, and I want to use various forms of social media to bounce this person's characteristics and psyche against real, actual people

The idea is to give this persona life, by giving it experience in dealing with how people react to it

Whenever I can figure out how to get this off the ground, I will write through the lens of this fabricated identity

Why not just figure out what your own true identity is, and show it to all, as is, and let them react to it?

:dunno:

I'm all about joy through complexity, but this seems like an awful lot of doo-dah for nothing much at all.

Which part?

Pops is retired military. We had a very task-oriented household. On a totally unrelated note, my sister and I could never live in the same house again. She’s freezing despite having on like 18 layers of clothing. And I had to come sit outside in a t-shirt. Who keeps a house at 74 degrees in the winter?

We sleep at 58, daytime at 64-65.

I used to open my window over my bed in the winter to wake up with snow on my pillow.

Hubs is from Cali and can't handle the idea of the bed under a window (earthquakes -> shattering glass -> bleed to death), but boy, I miss waking up with snow in my hair.

Who said anything about joy?

Got a call from my oldest a while ago , he wanted the wife and I to baby sit our 3 year old granddaughter. I stoped what we we're doing ,now I'm st her house watching frozen. The wife doesn't drink so she's in charge. Lol . I looked in his fridge , he had 2 bud lights and 6 Mike's hard lemonade. I left my refreshments at home.

Actually, I need your input.

That’s way too hot. I prefer the cold.

I’m not ex-military though. So I’m not exactly like your Dad. Just efficient. Work smart, not hard.

I don't mean to critisize parenting skills.

But somewhere along the way, between their first beer, and their understanding of what drinking is all about..you ****ed up.
