Do you believe we have a creator, aka "God"?

I have 3 kids, I couldnt give them as a sacrifice for the people I love the best at their best. God gave his son for all of us, as we are just to have us near him. He loves you and believes in you.

I guess the question is why God needed a blood sacrifice to forgive perceived transgressions against him.

And I'm not sure "gave his son" properly characterizes what supposedly happened. Jesus was dead for a weekend.

Forgiveness is by repentance
Blood/grain sacrifice is about atonement

Understanding Leviticus helps with this.

Who or what created I AM?

“I Am” is not His name but His status.

Read the story completely again then think about this. Jews reference the “G-d of Abraham, Issac and Jacob “!when talking about our G-d. Nobody calls Him “I Am”.

As an example you’re a human. People call you Ron. Nobody starts a conversation with you....”Hey human, how are you?”

I was simply using the title assigned by alaVol. I still would like to read his response to my question.

What amazing love!
Romans 5:6-8 (KJV)
6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Yes.
His unique status as G-d.

Past and present tense doesn’t translate so what The KJB renders “I Am that I Am” should more accurately be “ I Am/was/will be because I Am/was/will be” or as ever Hebrew would understand “ I have, Do and will always exist. Because I Am the Most High G-d.

“I Am” is the Claim of of His status as all powerful and eternal existence.

I see, thank you. Does the status of 'most high god' imply that there are lesser gods?

Even G-d uses the term Elohim in reference to other created beings. So do Angles have power that would make them godlike in comparison to us? Absolutely. But any power those “lesser” gods have still comes from the “Most high”.
G-d has been known to give issue his Athority on to others. In Exodus 23 is a good example of this.

) 20 “I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you on the way and bring you to the place I have prepared. 21 Pay attention to him, listen to what he says and do not rebel against him; because he will not forgive any wrongdoing of yours, since my name resides in him.

Here is an angle with the full authority of G-ds name. Very much godlike but not G-d.

Thanks for the explanation.
