D4H's 2017 NFL Draft Review (Best Picks, Best Drafts, and Predictions)

Joey Bosa plays mostly against the less athletic right tackles while Melvin Ingram takes on the better pass protecting left tackles. If anyone is making someone better it's Melvin Ingram making Bosa better by going against the better pass protecter every game so Joey Bosa can get the weaker matchup.

This is why I watch the games. I just don't make my opinions based on stats or hype.
His addition to the team has made that defense a lot better this is factual

Winning def rookie of the year while playing only 12 games is very impressive that is a fact

Averaging a sack a game in first 2 years is absolutely fantastic

Whether he’s more effective on the left side or the right side doesn’t change any of that you think that cancels out all the good he’s done in 2 short years?

Get off the bull**** man you just make yourself look more and more retarded

You don’t care about stats fine but Ingram wasn’t putting up numbers like he is now in the 4 years before Bosa got there

Stop being a twat and just accept it

The fact that you think this is even debatable is hilarious

If you watched the games you would see a defense that has greatly improved since his arrival

Did you watch the Chiefs/Chargers game last night?

Joey Bosa was a ghost. Zero impact on the game.

He's simply never impressed me. If he were actually good I would admit I made a mistake like I did with Dak Prescott.

Ghost? He had twice the tackles Garrett had today. For that matter Garrett has only once topped that number. (4) Did I mention Kamara only averaged 3.7ypc today?

GTFO with you and your desperate single game analysis trying to save face.

Never said he wasn't good. He's just not great like Alvin. Or as great as James Conner will be next year. Or as great as Joe Mixon will be once he gets some blocking.

If given a mulligan I would rank Kareem Hunt ahead of Christian McCaffrey (who looks like a bust). But he's not better than my top 3 RBs in this class.

So humble

You were waiting for a while to say that right? Considering how lights out Alvin has been this year.

You can get swayed by a game here or there. In the long I'll be proven right on Joey Bosa. He's simply not that good.

You're so predictable... you've just schooled yourself on how stupid it was to take a crack at Bosa in the manner you did. Alvin has been lights out...Bosa's been lights out for even longer.

You are basically a case study in hypocrisy of applied standards.

Hope so because in the short run you look like a moron

Lol he’s something else like he lives in his own little world where reality and facts don’t matter only his little handy dandy “scouting” note book does

Not really. Stats in the short run fool people all the time. See RG3 in 2012. Nick Foles in 2013. Etc.

Yes really. All available information regarding the subject matter specified makes you look like a moron. Since you don't engage in hypothetically transitive speculation (I mean you don't, right?) we are left with the facts. It'astonishing how often you can be found trying like hell to avoid those pesky buggers.

There's no opinion involved; in pecisely the same way Kelvin Taylor is an absolute bust until his play (there's a joke there) proves otherwise Bosa is absolutely an elite DE until his play proves otherwise.

I'll take Bosa's run in two years on defense over your's with regards to how many of these you get right. You say things like "I'll be proven right" often yet, you get proven wrong WAY more often than not.

Bosa's Performance > D4H's Predictions

No. But from watching tape even the "coverage sacks" aren't impressive. Most of Bosa's snaps are usually against the right tackle. That is less impressive than hearing the left tackle for sacks since left tackles are typically the better pass blockers.

You should know by now I don't care about numbers. I just watch the games and judge players by what I see on the field not what I see afterwards on the stat sheet.

This would as dumb as saying:

"Warren Sapp shouldn't be in the hall of fame because all of his sacks came against centers and guards who are even less impressive pass blockers than right tackles".

Learn to admit you're wrong.

plus there are plenty of other DEs in the league going against RTs that don't put up the numbers Bosa does.

Cam is an zone cover corner with elite instincts. He'll play for a very very long time. That is what will make him a great player. Longevity. Think Frank Gore. He's never really been on the level of Adrian Peterson or Marshawn Lynch in his prime but consistency for a long time will have him in the top 5 rushing all-time.

Steelers were playing man all night. Thats why Gronk torched them.

I think playing left side makes his numbers even more impressive, because your left side guy isn't supposed to be your best pass rusher. He's supposed to be your best run stopper.

Actually one of the reasons Bosa has looked so impressive is not only is he #4 in sacks among DE's but is also #2 in tackles.

I watched the game. Did you? Because Tony Romo repeatedly said man to man is something the Steelers don't typically do. They are a zone blitz team.

Cam is very good man to man but he's special in zone. His intelligence and instincts come out in zone defense. That's why he's a perfect fit with the Steelers.

If you tried to argue Warren Sapp is the best pass rusher of all-time, then the fact he played inside would become a factor. But DT and DE are different positions and judged different. Bosa is a DE. Its widely considered that the premier pass blockers are the LTs. The fact he goes against mostly right tackles makes his sack numbers less impressive than guys who go up against left tackles all the time.

What about winning defensive rookie of the year playing only 12 games. Is that not impressive to you?

How long long does he have to go putting up 12+ sacks a year before you admit he’s proven to be a great player and worthy of the 3rd overall pick?

Hell I wasn’t sure how he would translate to the league I thought maybe he was a picked a little high but so far he has been a fantastic pick for the chargers. Not to mention he’s produced at a very high level since high school to think he’s gonna end up like rg3 is laughable at this point. Hell his “luck” would have already ran out. I garuntee you he’s already the main guy the offense tries to stop every week
