If you ran into Butch Jones..........

I'd tell him nothing.

I wouldn't interact with him because I'm not a psycho.

Lol.

I have seen Fulmer out and about and didn't interact with him. Everyone deserves privacy. :)

You say hello, Merry Christmas to you and your family, and best of luck in your future endeavors.

There is no need to be hateful to people, especially this time of year.

Id say exactly what I said to Fulmer when I ran into him after he got fired!

"Hey coach!"..and walk on by.

Nothing.

Maybe a smile and a nod though.

Forum banter doesn’t always belong in real life with some notable exceptions.

on the street.....what would you say to him? What I would say to him would get me suspended from VN so I will open it up to my Vol Brethren........let 'er rip! :hi:

Well one thing this thread is doing is bring out all the Butch lovers. LOL

Not necessarily....but you have to respect him for what he did. He tried...its bad enough to get publicly fired, but to have the fan base turn on him like we did. You've got to have some empathy for the man. He tried his best, but his best was not good enough. He was somewhat hamstring by the previous AD and Haslam. But he brought us hope after DD.

I would thank him for giving it his best shot. And I would wish him the best in whatever he pursues

You wouldn't say a word.

For two reasons. 1. You aren't as tough and witty in real life as you are on here. 2. Deep down you know being bad at your job isn't a legit reason to be harassed and assaulted on the street.

lol! This^^^^! I actually did run into Mike Hamilton at the Nashville West Target right in the middle of the coaching search but before Fulmer was named AD. I didn't say anything. We made eye contact and he recognized that I recognized him. I let it go. He looked broken.
