'18 TN OL/DL Cade Mays (Transfer)

Doubt very seriously that UGA or Clemson would try that with a consensus top 10 player - especially an OL. IF Mays wants a spot in December or January or February, a spot would be made for him.

This is what I'm thinking. Kinda makes it a no brainer to hold off a few weeks. It's not like he can head off to the school of his choice on December 20th..

I’m faux but was right on Alontae huh when everyone was calling Georgia. I’m pretty sure I’m more connected than you are. Especially with the new coaches targets. 😎😎😎😎

Either way, I trust your evaluations over most. I'm sure that with the work you do and with your recent move, you got plugged into the football happenings in the state.

Not true. Kids will go to Bama and always have because it’s Bama. Same for Ohio State, Michigan, Oklahoma etc. Clemson is NOT a top program. At all. They’re a flash in a pan because of Dabo and a weak conference with Miami and FSU being nowhere what they used to be. FSU and Miami are the top programs in the ACC. Clemson is just good RIGHT NOW.

Eh, it's a combination of everything. While I understand your point, I also understand why recruits choose coaches. Life is about relationships. You get to choose your doctor, lawyer, financial professional, trainer, etc. You choose those people based on how good they are and how comfortable you are. It's not always about who has the nicest office. We shouldn't expect our 18 year olds to do anything different.

I will always "choose" UT because it's where I went, and I already have a career. These kids' careers are on the line. I hope they find a place with great traditions, facilities, and great coaches. Hopefully, we are getting back to that. UT has spent millions of dollars in buildings, yet hasn't figured out that people run a great program. It's time to get back to succeeding with great people.

Sorry to break the news but Clemson is one of the top programs in the country right now. They've played for the title three years in a row now and have won one already. They've beaten Bama, OSU, Oklahoma and many more. Recruits see them as one also. They also have some of the nicest facilities in the country. they have a coaching staff that legit. This is a what have you done for me lately business and right now Clemson is in business.

Dabo has also recruited 10 4* OL from 2008-2012 and put exactly 1 of them into the NFL... in the 4th Round. Dabo's Clemson program has put an overall number of 3 OL into the NFL through the draft, with the 4th Rounder being the highest.

Clemson is not known as an OL development program. They have put a TON of skill position and DL talent into the NFL, no doubt. But not OL.

If Mays wants to get into the NFL, he would be wise to go to UGA and be coached up by Pittman who is one of the best in the business.

Otherwise this is just looking like a kid being swept up by dubious recruiting tactics and jumping on a bandwagon.

I'd believe the 1 hr at least with cade. maybe they met with family and coaches longer but doubt they allowed cade 4 hrs away from class

This is the biggest decision of the young man's life and the school knows that. If Fulmer had visited me in HS and wanted to meet for 4hrs the coaches and admin would have catered the lunch lol. On top of that this is in Knoxville for crying out loud, Fulmer and Pruitt have more star power than anyone else in the city not named Peyton. If the parties involved wanted 4hrs they got it.

i'd question their DLine talent aswell...Titans have one that cant get on the field at all over the last couple of years.

At least they put DL into the NFL. They can't even put OL into the NFL and somehow that is Mays' target spot to best suit him to get into the NFL.

The only groups from Clemson that have had success are the skill position guys.
