One, you're making the same assumptions about what drilling won't do. No I am not, people are already drilling, what has it done?
Your second point would be true if there were another viable resource. Since there isn't, people will continue to look for the cheapest resource until it is too late. Too late for what? But thanks for stating there is not another viable source, good job.
Third, I'm not at all against choice. Just because you have a number of options does not make them all the right thing to do. The oil companies that will benefit from opening new offshore drilling sites will make their decision based only upon $ and I don't happen to think that is always the best policy. Yes, letting the market work itself out is the best policy. Tell me your policy.
Fourth, I have learned that my attempts at internet humor fail miserably. I actually think T. Boone is just out to make a buck. I was making fun of his energy "plan".
