When has Peyton been a head coach? Why does it matter if Peyton gives his blessing? Isn’t he the same guy whose been holding court about not wanting tee at Tennessee? Tee doesn’t get Peyton’s blessing because tee won a title with players Peyton couldn’t. When has hiring anyone from Bama or the Saban tree worked for Tennessee? I’ll wait..

Yep.. This isn't "coming together" with an Alabama born and bred coach with no HC experience. Hugh Freeze as OC, and another AL guy as DC.....

This isn't stabilizing when your HC has eyes to jump back home when Saban retires and Freeze jumps back as a HC....

There is no championships or orange blood in this hire...I hope to eat crow for this post.

If from what I read is accurate and Peyton was truly “blown away” by Pruitt, then maybe there’s something there we can’t see at the moment. Let’s be honest, he knows virtually every coach, he’s one of the best minds of football. If he was “blown away” then there’s something there.
