I don't need Gruden. I don't need National Championships. I need for the people in charge, to value this program as much as I have since I was a child.

All I wanted was for them to reach a little bit, to try and put us on equal footing with the teams I think we should be competing with. I wanted the Orange Pride re-instilled into the program.....not sure a Bama DC will be able to adequately communicate our history and the Maxim's to new recruits. All of that has been extracted from the program. We put the one guy in charge that I thought would emphasize doing that, and he seems completely disinterested in doing so.

Finally!!!!! The reason most of us aren't satisfied with this if true.

He brought Cut back in 2007 who could have overshadowed him.
Do we kknow for sure he hasn't reached? Is it possible he has called others and they were not interested?

I think they should have called Brohm and refused to take no for an answer, but that's my opinion.

Surely if it was curable we would have ran back in a solution. If not and we were that close then shame on the admin for not caring enough.

I'm not sure he will be in the position long enough to have a legacy.

Prior to Currie being hired I certainly wasn't in favor of CPF getting the position although I understand how loyalty to him would motivate others to pull for him.

Only the complete chaos that Haslam/Currie engineered made my needle swing to "Let's hope he can stablize this mess"...sigh

Guys, why are we doing this to ourselves..? Can we not try and be positive? It sucks, I agree, but instead of us all coming in here and adding to the misery we’re all feeling, why don’t we lean on our brothers and sisters for comfort? Let’s try and make this fun! Let’s get the positive energy back up! If one of your family members are hurting, do you just shat on them to make it worse or do you try and lift them up?

I agree with you completely about what is needed. But my issue is the simple fact, the TN coaching tree is about the size of Charlie Browns Christmas tree... other than Steele and Tee there aren’t any candidates who fit your desires. Marion Hobby isn’t leaving Jacksonville, Terry Fair isn’t anywhere near ready and Casey Clausen is coaching high school. Who? I hate the fact a born and bred bammer is the front runner and I can’t fathom him singing that he doesn’t give a damn about the whole State of Alabama. Unfortunately, we have to win that game to sing it so he’s probably safe.

I don't know. Just the impression I got from someone I spoke to.

Could be as simple as we decided not to pay, JG decided to look at another opportunity, or is staying put.

Public perception is, Currie had him, Phil doesn't.

If you're asking where I am, it's East Tennessee. If you are asking me about coaches, me and my son, who posts here frequently are Gruden all the way. Having said that, I will accept what Phil decides and still be all Vol forever.
