I am directing this comment to the UT Admin:

After all is said and done, there is more said than done.

They had a chance to make a difference, CPF had a chance to make a change to make up for all the let downs this fan base has suffered during the last 10 years. Could someone less than Gruden make us winners again, absolutely... All choices are risks, but we as fans deserve to succeed or fail with someone we believed in, right or wrong!

The big winner will be Tiger High, the only football program worth a damn in Tennessee.

Right but last 2 coaches were micro managers. Nit saying Pruitt will not be but I think he will be learning from the past ones and make changes

If you listen to the interview (link after first paragraph) it starts out talking about how Pruitt loved the night life and the ladies when he was at FSU. Looks like he is B. Petrino 2.0

I am local to Rick Ballou's radio show. He isn't even the mid tier talent on the station he works for. I realize there is an interview with FSU staff but you have to understand that Ballou is a FSU grad and has an up north personality who does anything he can to stir trouble. he is hated in this market and does whatever he can to alienate fans from their team. including the school he graduated from. The majority of the listening audience dislikes him and this is why the station moved him to a time slot that isn't a big ratings time. He will acknowledge the displeasure that listeners have for him from time to time and play the whoa is me card.

Interview may have merit but Rick Ballou is the equivalent of the idiot step brother to Jimmy Hyams....(if he had one)

I use to love this thread, but the instant it looks like it isn’t Gruden, everyone goes full nega vol. I wanted Gruden as much as the next person, but it wasn’t meant to be. Stop finding reasons to hate the hire, and look at the positives. Pruitt is a solid choice, regardless of how toxic our search has been.

Smart went back home to GA and he is who the fans desperately wanted.

Pruitt is not going "home" to TN and he is certainly NOT who the fans wanted.

This makes all the difference in the world.

The fans needed who they wanted. (That's the key to all of this)
