* In Alabama. Played for Banks High School in Birmingham and attended Alabama. He bled Crimson at the time. So the argument that we don’t want Pruitt for said reason is ridiculous.

1. Cutcliffe was never our HC

2. Cutcliffe never played football in college

I’m sure he was a Bama fan while he went to school there, but he has absolutely ZERO affiliation with the Alabama football program.

You don’t know me at all so make vague assumptions I’m just pissed & venting bc I HATE bammer & would love to see us actually hire someone that had some dam clout

I knew you were venting. I was just proving a point.

We've been dealt a truckload of lemons for a decade. I'm tired of trying to make lemonade, but what can we do? We aren't switching allegiances (I went to S. Carolina for my graduate degree but that ain't happening). So, I guess I'll add the sugar if you'll squeeze the lemons. And let's hope for the best.

They both played at Alabama. So add Alabama to the top of each list as a player and then... tell me which one is more bammer.

Cutcliffe worked his way up through Tennessee’s ranks just like Pruitt did.. at Alabama.

Pruitt left for UGA and Florida State. If we give him his opportunity at HC who is to say he won’t feel loyal to us for that reason. Money is a much bigger contributor than anything else. We can’t base our hires off of worried allegiances or hypotheticals. We base it off of resume, recruiting abilities and references. Pruitt checks off all the boxes. I’m sorry you won’t be happy with the hire, maybe in time he will grow on you. Go Vols!

I don't think Cut played for Bama.. did go there though and graduate but he was like an assistant to an assistant or something.

Why does everybody think tee would be a great coach? Is it because he's a VFL? Somebody convince me. Is his coaching ability based on his mediocre stint at usc, or because he is from greenbow alabama? I hope I'm wrong about Tee though.

Holding out to come to this chit show smh

Wrong. He was an assistant director of the athletic dormitory. He loved Alabama and has been quoted as saying as much. But ok, you’re splitting hairs.

Maybe avalanches don't happen by the sea. You got me there!!! Yet it's irrelevant.

I said "One if By Land" The metaphorical avalanche I alluded to was Currie's firing, which I'm pretty sure happened on land.

"Two if by Sea" is one of the better romantic comedies of the 90s. Starring Dennis Leary and Sandra Bullock. you should watch this movie before posting out of your ass on the internet, troll, because clearly you know nothing about Two if by Sea. Two If by Sea (1996) - IMDb

Completely ignoring the fact you stated having a wife?...regarding what I was asking? But responded to everything else I guess ole Paul, the land and the sea is more important to get your point across oh and that avalanches in fact DO NOT HAPPEN BY THE SEA! you've been vetted confirmed TROLL GTFO

You are correct. He played high school ball in Alabama and wanted to walk on at Alabama but settle for starting his coaching career.

You're exactly right because by that time saban will be retired and Pruitt will leave for bama🖕🏽👍🏽 Nobody said anything about tanking if anyone taking its you on presenting "FACTS" on anything even if it relates to you

Would you like a FACT about me? Ok. Here's a fact. I'm currently being attacked by a raving dip**** on the internet who is likely snorting crank off a hunting knife as he's typing at me. That, my friend, is FACT:good!:

Gruden till it ain't! Cheers

On a related note, Chris Low tweeted that of the last 40 SEC head coaches hired, only 4 had prior HC experience.

We don’t need a guy building himself as a HC while the team is being rebuilt as well.

That’s like trying to build a house of cards....covered in crisco....

Oh, so now you're admitting that I have a wife? You just called it a fact. So if you take it as a fact that I'm married, what are you harassing me about again?

what happened to the $100m+ "the good guys" supposedly mustered up to harpoon the whale?

Oh the money was there for gruden. The boosters were willing to pay for that. Like Atlanta Vol said you can’t just throw money at someone and expect them to come. Especially when that person doesn’t “need” the money.

My point was to the Neyland renovation of 340 million and butchs and curries buy out. You can’t expect haslam or Ergen to say hey I got that 5 million and haslam you get that 12 million. That’s not how wealthy people operate.

ALSO IMPORTANT NOTE:

Do not be surprised if the media acts like gruden was never a real possibility. Any coach that gruden would have brought in wouldn’t go on record. Think about that. Anytime a reporter asks you a question...expect it to be printed. Therefore, that said coach will deny, deny and deny.

Why don’t we let Pruitt age 25 more years so he can catch up to Cut. Deer lord <span class="emoji-outer emoji-sizer"><span class="emoji-inner" style="background: url(chrome-extension://immhpnclomdloikkpcefncmfgjbkojmh/emoji-data/sheet_apple_32.png);background-position:85.95769682726204% 4.054054054054054%;background-size:5418.75% 5418.75%" data-codepoints="1f98c"></span></span>

They'd rather go 0-12 with someone who wore orange in college than win with someone who may have wore Red at one point.
