I honestly don’t think this search is over. I believe there will be more interviews tomorrow. Who? No idea. Looks like Pruitt in the morning again.

I agree. We have the most incompetent administrators in the country. The faces change, but the inability to competently executed a coaching search remains the same.

But, what it really comes down to is money. Alabama is willing to go all-in with it to be great. While Tennessee is still living in the 90s.

If it’s not Gruden who gives a ****. I mean come on. Pruitt would be an amazing hire if he brings Tee with him. Let Tee build his offensive staff and build a sickening Defensive staff. Pruitt could have taken HC gigs while he was at FSU this guy has been on the radars for 3 to 4 years as a HC candidate. He decided to patiently go learn from Saban for 2 year before getting his dream job. You all do realize he went to Bama to get the BIG one! He is looking at UT as the BIG one. He is going to get a top 10 College HC gig. He is only going to win more championships at UA. He has been around the coaching world and with some DAMN good coaches. He is an EXCELLENT recruiter (one of the best in the Country!) this is us hitting Home Run! Wake up Vols fans. This is an excellent hire for where we were. Better than any of the other candidates besides Gundy thrown at us.
Why does everybody think tee would be a great coach? Is it because he's a VFL? Somebody convince me. Is his coaching ability based on his mediocre stint at usc, or because he is from greenbow alabama? I hope I'm wrong about Tee though.

I’m tired of giving people promotions to our HC position, and taking the “let’s see what he can do” approach...

Why can it never be “look what he has done”

(12/1/17) PF:

"our football program has the history, the facilities, the tradition, and the resources, to play with ANYONE, ANYTIME, and that's what we're gonna do again. this is an important time in our history.. our first job is to turn around our football program. our football teams in recent years have struggled for a variety of reasons, but through it all we have been supported by the most passionate fan base in the country. THESE GREAT FANS DESERVE TEAMS THAT MAKE THEM PROUD. it will not be easy and it will take some time but we will succeed. we first must find us a coach who WANTS TO BE AT TN, who APPRECIATES the unique opportunity that we have to offer at this very special place at this historical time, and WHO IS DRIVEN TO WIN AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL in college football. the kind of head coach that WILL HONOR OUR UNIVERSITY'S VALUES, WILL BE PROUD TO REPRESENT OUR STATE, and be a role model for our student athletes. I have been a part of the university of TN athletics program when it's been at it's best. I have seen what honest communication, trust, and hard work achieves. it is my mission to lead our entire athletic dept. in a way that honors our university's legacy, and insist on excellence.. I'm asking all of our fans, our alumni, student athletes, and coaches, let's go have fun WINNING CHAMPIONSHIPS."

sure hope he gets it right, a lot of bold statements in there..

Which why we I still listen to John ward after a bad loss as therapy

A phone call to gauge interest is a lot different than the sit down meetings we was lead to believe took place

One thing you have to understand is how rumors work. By the time the rumor passes hands a third time, the "facts" that are passed along are more of what the passer wants to happen, as opposed to what will happen.

And, by the time the "facts" hit this place, Gruden is "100% signed" and putting together his staff. I think it was all a pipe dream in 2012, and it was all a pipe dream in 2017. Gruden has never had any real intention of being the HFC at Tennessee.

Kinda like hiring a guy who's never been a head coach for a down of College ball, right?

I know man, Hiring Bammers as things such as Offensive Coordinators? How could Phil Fulmer do that?

Oh wait, I'm talking about David Cutcliffe...

You think Tennessee is his dream job? lolololol

He was born and raised in Bama, played at Bama, started his coaching career at Bama, and is coaching at Bama now...

His dream job is to be the HC.... AT ALABAMA

Tennessee means nothing to him. He wants the job for the $$ and the HC experience.

I still believe it's Gruden. Everything that has been leaked today is just Fulmer getting even with the local media that spoke badly of him on his way out the door as HC. No names leaked today for interviews were for HC. Just DC and OC. He let the idiots attach the HC tag. He also knows we track their airplanes so why not make them look even more foolish by jumping on the Pruitt connection when they're just giving him a lift.

Its Gruden!

This is really a silly way to look at coaching hires. We want the best candidates at the time to help us win. Where they went to school isn’t a major factor.

These guys are professionals. Pruitt isn't going to take millions, move to Ktown, and commit career suicide by purposefully tanking the team just because he's a "bammer"

The Bama hate is fun, but it's for us fans.

EDIT: but I still say Gruden
