jmo...but I think Fulmer was put there and that way the fans will believe in him and think that whoever Fulmer hires will go over with the fans because it is Fulmer and the fans will except it and not revolt again.

From VQ poster Vol_in_Clt

“Yes, today was the deadline. 3 specific people (totally unrelated to this board) would have been notified with a "yes" for different reasons. They have not been notified. Therefore it appears it was a no.“

On a side note my close friend who golfs and is tight with a mid level booster told me this when I asked about gruden. “I’m starting to believe that Hubbs is more in the know than majority of the boosters.”

Was also told that haslam is still very much involved. Said the reports of him being outed or in the back seat was ludicrous. The mid level booster called it a needed hostile take over however, it only allowed a few of the top boosters more say. Other men with names on buildings type. So, still a few people calling the shots.

Lastly for better or for worse he was told that fulmer is going to do what fulmer feels best for this search. He said not Bev, Dipietro or BoT will stand in his way especially after everything that has transpired.

He expects it to be Pruitt. Ironically that’s the feel on VQ as well.

Tucker and Pruitt are selling fulmer the fact that they’ll have a few bama like assistants joining them. Including their top notch recruiting profiles.

*****Disclamier - bringing what I heard and I’m not saying these are absolute truths.

This has been my only fear. I've had a feeling that Haslam didn't lose the war. That most likely means the Gruden was not really offered the job or was not offered full control. Which means the same thing. Gruden till it's not, but I fear that it's not.

Because the timeline of his tweets out him as a troll, and he knows it. Get everyone’s hopes up, slowly let them down with cryptic bs, say something to the affect of its hit or miss, then say no go. Finally, I’m sure he will come out with some reason why it fell through blah blah blah.

Did he find out some devastating, earth-shattering information...@ 11pm?????

I will also add that neither of our previous two coaches had ever been a coordinator. it will be nice to have a coach that understands Xs and Os.

Not who I would have initially picked, but I will hope for the best. In until there is no reason to be.

Pruitt would be a great hire. He's a proven winner. He's been in multiple championship cultures, and while we're at it, we're taking away a great DC from under Saban. I'm sure he'll recover as fast as anybody would, but that's going to be a pain in his ass.

That said, it's' definitely Gruden, only Gruden, and nothing but Gruden until it definitely ain't Gruden. Gruden fever baby!!!

Pruitt is a good coach, but I️ don’t like him for what he did while at Georgia. It was covered pretty well by the UGA beat writers that he was a cancer among the coaching staff, and helped drive Mark Richt out.

If gruden isn’t announced everyone will say he’s a troll anyways so wgaf

I don’t know, trolling of that magnitude probably has some mental issues associated with it. My guess is just someone who loves the attention and adoration. He doesn’t want it to end.

I'm not sold on this either nor am I quite as pissed as you are, yet, but that may be the booze.. not sure if you caught my post earlier, it's an interesting read for any who forgot last friday

Bring it forward I would love to read it

Ok, now that I drank my smart juice (moonshine; legal) I'm thinking the suit means, it's done (the coaching search). It doesn't mean it's Gruden, it simply means a decision has been made.

Total guess, but makes sense to me at least.

I could see that.

But Fulmer wouldn’t let himself be used like that would he?

Other schools find their man and signs him. Tn runs all over the country interviewing pathetic HCs and now interviewing DCs for the HC and people wonder why Tn is the laughing stock of college football. Its embarrassing to see what this football program has become. I think UT might want to cancel that $340 million renovations to Neyland. Next year they will be giving season tickets away.

(12/1/17) PF:

"our football program has the history, the facilities, the tradition, and the resources, to play with ANYONE, ANYTIME, and that's what we're gonna do again. this is an important time in our history.. our first job is to turn around our football program. our football teams in recent years have struggled for a variety of reasons, but through it all we have been supported by the most passionate fan base in the country. THESE GREAT FANS DESERVE TEAMS THAT MAKE THEM PROUD. it will not be easy and it will take some time but we will succeed. we first must find us a coach who WANTS TO BE AT TN, who APPRECIATES the unique opportunity that we have to offer at this very special place at this historical time, and WHO IS DRIVEN TO WIN AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL in college football. the kind of head coach that WILL HONOR OUR UNIVERSITY'S VALUES, WILL BE PROUD TO REPRESENT OUR STATE, and be a role model for our student athletes. I have been a part of the university of TN athletics program when it's been at it's best. I have seen what honest communication, trust, and hard work achieves. it is my mission to lead our entire athletic dept. in a way that honors our university's legacy, and insist on excellence.. I'm asking all of our fans, our alumni, student athletes, and coaches, let's go have fun WINNING CHAMPIONSHIPS."

sure hope he gets it right, a lot of bold statements in there..
