He screwed us over as much as Currie did by dragging this out so long. We missed out on so many good candidates because of his indecision.

Shame on us for letting anybody string us along for that long.

Here is an analogy. When a guy asks a girl to marry him, her response tells him everything he needs to know. If she wants to marry him, it will be an immediate and enthusiastic "yes." If she needs more and more time to "think about things," she has no desire to marry him. A strong guy will cut it off, but a poor sap will continue along, which looks weak and like begging.

A coaching search isn't exactly like that because there is a negotiation involved. But, we never should have let him play us like this.

I would tell every single detail. If he turns us down then he is dead to me and his reasoning for saying no should be known to the world.

Ok so Aunt Bee is telling Opie this (preface I hate even typing the first part) apparently a fishing trip got an unexpected nibble. They don't think it will amount to much. Elephants are leaders in the club house. Metal is out(been telling you all this all day). Golf is playing for position. Bulldogs are hungry but not much else. Tiger is back in the jungle.

While fishing an unexpected nibble from Gruden. Pruitt is in the lead. Steele is out. Tee is playing for a position. Not much intrest in Tucker.

I said that exact same thing on twitter 10 mins ago. None of this makes sense to me. UTPaulVols postings today, the whole weird MNF deal, bringing up Rocky Top. Too much smoke to not have a fire in there somewhere....if GRUDEN truly doesn’t want to coach at UT, he needs to come out and publicly say it before the next coach is announced. Surely Fulmer understands that.

A.) How does Fulmer make Gruden do anything?
B.) Is it possible, that in 2012 when Grudens agent called the idea of Gruden coaching the Vols a "fantasy", that Gruden assumed that this would cover it for reasonable people going forward.

I want him as much you all do but let's be realistic. Let's also not blame him. He, through his agent, called it a fantasy. The only sharper rebuttal would have been to call us ignorant hillbillies.

Clubhouse = Reference to Golf (aka Gruden)

The clubhouse is Gruden’s coaching staff. He’s looking to fill positions. Pruitt is now the leader for DC, but Tucker wants the job and is still in the mix. Steele is out for DC. Tee is a done deal for OC.

On desktop they’re listed in chronological order of when they were followed. They’re all in his most recent.

These guys probably aren't getting the "scoop," at least probably not in full yet. If I was said source and had folks asking me for information, I might tell them the resolution but would probably not divulge the dirty details upfront. JMO YMMV
