For those about to freak out that we aren’t hiring gruden or the lord almighty

what if we have made several inquiries about several “better” coaches to agents (most of whom are shared with a single agent so a talk to them is all that is needed in some cases) and they weren’t interested from the start.

I will support whatever Fulmer thinks is best right now. What we want to happen may not be possible right now. We have to do the best we can and surround them with top staff and recruiters and anything is possible.

If Pruitt, Tucker, or Steele are what’s “best,” after letting Leach go, then that tells me, no one tried hard enough. The fans just keep drinking the kool aid and will again bc Fulmer is the new face that everyone loves. It’s a new face to hand out kool aid.

Yeah it's not your typical troll, but the account seems fishy and there's no reason to suggest they have any real credible news. It's pretty much just a wait and see situation right now.

You know Hawk, I hate to think we’ve been through all of this over the past 10 days, as well as you and I and a handful others who’ve been picking this thing a part since Ga only to have it come down to Kevin Steele, Mel Tucker or Jeremy Pruitt. Just really sucks. I’m hoping we get our guy but it’s looking less and less likely with every passing second.

If any of those three are trotted out, I'll be madder than the Keebler elf being demoted to fudge packer.....

Leach is good where he is. I honestly don’t think he would fit as well in the SEC plus he would need a new DC big time

Yes it is...it's looking a bunch of DC's and a roll of the dice. What happened to stability! Les was willing to walk on hot coals to Knoxville for the job...this morning he's not on the list.

Does anyone believe we would have heard for sure that the deal fell through if it indeed fell through? My guess is that insider news would travel fairly quickly if the case...

Me too. But no one else is getting talked about. I can’t for the life of me understand how THOSE GUYS are the best we can do... people all over Nashville keep saying how we’re just a 2nd tier team with the Mizzous and Arkansas’ of the SEC. and if we hire any of them, it proves our leadership feels the same way.

Why do people keep saying this? You do know his D is currently top 20 after beating Stanford and everyone’s favorite VFL’s O at USC his year. Coming from a program historically worse than Vandy.
