I'm so ready for this coaching search to be over.

I would be happy with Brohm, Morris, or Venables, and that would probably be my order of preference (though Brohm and Morris are close enough in my mind that they might as well be tied). I'm really hoping to hear by the end of the day that one of those 3 is the guy, so we can start picking up the pieces and moving forward.

I have some concerns about character with Pruitt. Wasn't he basically fired from UGA for being a cancer on that staff?

Don't know enough about Tucker to have much of an opinion.

If it's Steele, I would agree with the consensus that we're in trouble. Well...we're already in trouble, but hire Steele as HC and we immediately make it even worse.

If Arkansas, who Just hired an AD like yesterday, gets venables and we get Steele.....


This whole thing about bring in Phil who wants us to win again is balogna

So from those two national tweets we see Arkansas high on Morris or Venebles and we are High in Morris.

Is Venebles our second choice? He would be my first between he and Morris. But I would take either one.

I realize there's no way for us to know this, but I'm curious how successful Morris or Venables would be at instituting the kind of S&C program we need. For some reason, I have more faith that Pruitt would get that right, but (other than Steele) he's the shortest midget to me.

Pruitt immediately gets you the players needed to start competing again. He will bring a good staff, upgrades S&C, brings possibly even Tee.

Best thing about Pruitt, he knows all of Jimbo, Kirby and Saban secrets. He would be able to recruit on their “level’.

the thing that pisses me off about a flip phone phil comment from Thames, is based on candidates it seems that Phil isn't behind the times outside of Kevin Steele.

Our losses this season were to defensive minded coaches. The best 2 teams in SEC led my defensive coaches. So he is talking to Pruitt, Tucker, Venables, Steele that led the top defenses in the country this year.

The one offensive guy he interviews? morris. What is intriguing about Morris? His offensive system at Clemson is proven to be able to go up and down the field on a Saban/Smart defense with the right personell.

If we hire Pruitt, it better be with the biggest buyout in CFB history if he walks. If your idea of Tennessee being back is the UT job being a stepping stone to the Bama job, you shouldn’t be the UT AD.

He's making fun of Phil for going to New York to network and talk to coaches that way instead of having everything go through agents and lawyers. It's a stupid thing to get hung up on.

False. You’d have taken the contrarian view by now and are only steadfast because others are not.

You’ll deny it, for sure. But acting self righteous is your thing. And it’s not like you’ve never changed an opinion on here before. Acting like the fact that you said you supported Fulmer a few days ago means that support is unconditional is laughable. Everybody always has conditions.

People just draw boundaries in different places.

Pruitt would recruit like crazy. He also would love to prove he is better than smart. He has tons of connections from his UGA and FSU times mixed in with Bama. If someone can dig a hole under that GA fence Kirby has right now its Pruitt. He began building that fence himself

Their new ad tried to hire Kiffin at Houston. Might try again this time around.
