Hiring coaches is a copy cat thing. Kirby and Saban are the the thing we are trying to copy. Hard nosed, physical and disciplined. I love the plan. Now for the sake of the mattresses in Tennessee I hope we hire Pruitt or Venables but the plan makes a lot of sense.

I'm not saying I'm a fan of a Steele hire at all, but I don't understand why the same people saying they'd be alright with Morris with a great DC, wouldn't be alright with Steele with a great OC

The interesting part was that during the video one photo was shown of each coach, as far as i could tell, except for Kevin Steele. The video ended with three photos of Steele. May not mean anything... i just found it interesting what with all the Steele talk.

But he’s 60 years old and the only time he’s been a HC was at Baylor 15 years ago. Why not hire a guy 15 years younger with nearly the same experience

If Phil hires Steele or Brown for HC he can proceed to HR and turn in his office keys and VFL card.

No it doesn't. It's been stated many times you aren't going to beat those guys at their own game. Usually in copy cat leagues and situations, the ones doing the copying never do it nearly as well.

Steele gonna get trotted and I'ma head for the door. Check back in in August and be a regular in the BB forum, I guess.

If Phil trots Steele and we beat UNC in BB, TBA will be absolutely packed the rest of the season. Everyone around Knoxville will become huge basketball fans to forget football for a while.

Morris showed improvement at SMU and got them to a bowl game for first time since 2012. Steele at Baylor went 9-36 and has a history of panic attacks and being a nervous wreck. Steele doesn’t give you a lot of optimism.
