So you're test driving a Ferrari and an Oldsmobile. Seems like you interview Peterson, offer him anything he wants to make it happen and don't talk to anyone else, period.

Chris Petersen! This is a great time to pose the question to him, we (SEC) have two teams in the CFP and the PAC has zero, do you have to go undefeated in the PAC just to get a whiff from the selection committee?

I wouldn't believe Petersen actually has a sit down with Phil until it's happened and confirmed by both sides, because I don't think he'd bother going through the trouble of taking the interview unless there was some chance of an offer and acceptance. With that said, if Petersen was even open to an offer, that's a guy you give your $10m/yr to, that would instantly put UT back in the top tier.

Don’t need to interview Petersen...just put the large contract in his face and make him sign.

Plus he hates playing west coast where the games are too late for anybody to pay attention.

Oh lord everybody is gonna freak out now that he said he will interview Petersen...We have a better chance of seeing a living dinosaur than landing Petersen...He is a west coast guy with ties to the place...He's not coming to UT..He WILL however get a nice raise due to the interest of UT...Good for him he deserves it.

well he would def have the attention he wants smack in the middle of the SEC with the group of coaches he'll be going against.
