As bad as I hate to say it, I do think Ohio State should have been there over Alabama. Do I think Alabama is deserving, yes (and I hate to say that also). But my biggest gripe is that we once again have a scenario where a team could win the National Championship but was not a conference champion. To me, it devalues the conference championship.

So, 10 @ 10 @10:10AM, 3 of the guys I put some stock in saying confident something/talks happened in morning, another saying will have info this AM, with another nugget of expect to hear something today.

I was never fond of the PF to AD move. I believe it was an easy way for Davenport to take heat off of herself. I sure hope I'm wrong but the rumors of a Les hire worry me a great deal. I'm starting to believe in my lifetime I'll never see the Vols back where they belong. Les and a bunch of VFL's is not an inspiring hire. Every damn time I think I'm out of the woods, BOOM right back in the middle again. This is getting VERY old!
Please for the love of god, hire Blackburn.

Agreed. I can see Phil hiring us an AARP staff from the “good ole boy” club. Not inspired by Phil one iota.

It’s definitely going to come to a head soon. I think I just need a crumb, a tidbit to get me through the day lol. One thing can be said: This has been a story for the ages if it comes to fruition.

There have been reports that some of the new leading boosters have said something to the effect 'Lane is not welcome on the hill' - if so, whether he can coach or not means he's burned a bridge that won't be crossed

In case anyone is interested in what our offense would like here's a link. Of course he probably modified and added to this somewhat. But you will see what basic type of sets, formations, concepts, and tendencies he uses. And there are negagrudes out there that think he isn't a good X's & O's coach. SMH

I abandoned the Gruden thread after the Schiano debacle. It seems there is a renewed hope. Can someone catch me up with some GrudeNews this morning? Is he a real candidate with Phil taking over?
