Tough running by Alvin Kamara on this TD

Just wait till Dobbs, Hurd, Sutton, Bituli, and Warrior start playing in the NFL.

We wasted a ton of Pro Bowl/All-Pro talent in 2015 and 2016.

Those teams had some of the best talent in college football history.

I hate it when Butch is called a good recruiter. Any idiot can recruit players to tennessee, (See Butch) with our facilities. It's a shame he went into those kids home, and told them and their family the same line of crap he told us. How many of his players, NFL careers were crushed due to lack of development. That's not a good recruiter. That's a con artist.

Rotowire.

Kamara had nine carries for 60 yards and two touchdowns and caught five of six targets for 66 yards in Sunday's 31-21 win over the Panthers.

Analysis:

Offering a rare combination of talent and team context, Kamara is somehow maintaining an unprecedented level of per-touch production, consistently performing as one of the elites at his position without ever approaching 20 touches. He's actually fallen between 10 and 17 in nine straight games, including an ongoing six-game streak with at least one touchdown. Kamara and Mark Ingram will both have a good chance to stay hot when the Saints face the Falcons in Atlanta on Thursday.

Just wait and see. Alvin is just the start. We have many more just as talented as him that will dominate the NFL for years to come. Here is how I break them down:

Hall of Fame Talents
QB Joshua Dobbs
RB Alvin Kamara
CB Cameron Sutton

Pro-Bowl Talents
S Nigel Warrior
LB Daniel Bituli
LB Darrin Kirkland Jr.
RB John Kelly
TE Jalen Hurd
KR Evan Berry

Solid NFL Starters
DE Derek Barnett
LB Jalen Reeves-Maybin
WR Josh Malone
WR Marquez Callaway
DT Kendal Vickers
CB Rashaan Gaulden
P Trevor Daniel

We were loaded with so much NFL talent in 2015 and 2016 that its ridiculous. People will only appreciate it 4-5 years from now. Just like people are only appreciating how great Alvin Kamara was now that he's ripping apart the NFL.

Just watching Kamara play tonight and thinking about him and Dobbs in the same backfield. Could have been epic if utilized properly. No other explanation needed for Butch's dismissal.

We also have to take into account our offensive line was terrible. Barely Group of 5 caliber let alone SEC caliber.

Alvin is averaging more yards per carry in the NFL than he did in college. That should highlight just how bad our offensive line truly was.

Dobbs and Kamara behind a competent offensive line with an offensive mastermind of a coach like Chip Kelly probably break scoreboards arounds the SEC with how many points they put. We broke school records last year with a terrible offensive line, tons of injuries, and Alvin playing less than half the year.

Our offense Could have been GODLY. Its just unfortunate we never got to see Dobbs and Kamara at their best in college because of Butch Jones incompetence.

Not sure if this has been posted, but the funniest thing during the game was when one of the commentators said this:

"Usually a player like Kamara is really good at Tennessee and not as good in the NFL. This guy is the exact opposite. Could explain why they are looking for a new coach in Knoxville."

No ****. lol

Not about Kamara, but Barnett just crushed Russell Wilson. Not a sack, helmet into the sternum. Wilson will feel that one tomorrow.

I got blasted a few weeks ago for saying we had the same talent as Oklahoma when we played them.

Prepare to get ripped. Not saying you are wrong, but just want you to get prepared.

I'm used to being attacked by the ignorant masses.

I said last year Alvin Kamara was the best RB in the draft and was attacked by supposed Vols fans on here who were arguing for Fournette, Cook, and McCaffrey.

I said last year that Alvin Kamara was a Marshall Faulk clone and I was attacked for it. Now everyone else is using that comparison.

And I said last year that Alvin Kamara was a future Hall of Famer in the NFL and was attacked for it. And given Alvin's dominance thus far, this looks like a real possibility.

So this is a long way of saying I'm used to dumb attacks to my prophetic analysis of players ability.

Those people don't knows what they are talking about.

2015 Vols were more talented than Oklahoma. Only reason we lost is because Oklahoma's coaches outcoached Tennessee's coaches.

Player for player we were better. By a decent margin.

I like Dobbs, but he isn't an All-Pro talent at the NFL level.

Who told you Kamara wasn’t good? We ALL knew he was good and pointed out he wasn’t used enough. Most of those you just mentioned won’t see significant playing time in the NFL.

The bold I’m laughing at in your earlier statement was that we had some of the best talent in college football HISTORY. That’s funny.

Good job man. You got 1 right. Blind squirrels find nuts every once in a while.

That reminds me, that bust Derrick Henry has looked pretty good this year in limited carries. Havent seen much of Kelvin Taylor.

Instead of kicking the man while he's down, give credit where credit is due. During Dooley time, higher quality recruits shunned the Vols. They just didn't want to come here. Call Butch a used cars salesman, ballyhoo man, or a con man, whatever. All the same, he upgraded the quality of recruits we started to receive. He might not have gotten a Saban style boatload of 5 stars but he was getting far better than what was coming here in Dooley's time. None of us may be happy when Butch stalled, sputtered and sank. But he gave us a nice ride while it lasted until his final year. We even got into the national conscious again as something other than a hapless laughingstock. He had a team that gave Bama all they could handle until a miscue wrecked the effort. We returned to being a laughingstock during the Currie crumble. So have the dignity to give credit where it's due. Further, his team had a reputation for playing hard and not rolling over and Dooley-dying. Have some dignity, Harleydude, instead of being a megalomaniac myth-maker. If nothing else thank the man for his service, which while not great, did bring back a measure of respect for the Vols 10 years lacking.
