That makes no sense. The University provides the MoU. If Currie didnt want those two stipulations then they wouldnt have been in a MoU and Gruden wouldnt have signed it.

It takes University leaders to SIGN an MOU (or contract), but not to type one up.

This Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between The University of Tennessee (the University) and Jon M.F. Gruden (Coach) records the understanding of the parties as to the principal terms and conditions under which Coach will be employed as the Head Football Coach for the University. When fully executed, this MOU shall constitute a binding and legally enforceable agreement until superseded by a definitive written Employment Agreement between Coach and the University.
In consideration of the mutual promises contained herein, the parties agree as follows:

Term of Employment Agreement: December 5, 2017, through January 15, 2024 (6 seasons)

Base Compensation:
Annual Base Pay -- $250,000
Annual Supplemental Pay -- $9,950,000

AP National Coach of the Year -- $50,000

Single year APR 960 or greater -- $25,000

Moving allowance up to $50,000
2 vehicles or $850/month stipend in leiu of each vehicle
12 football tickets in lower bowl; 12 in suite; 8 tickets for away games; 12 for post season games; 2 parking passes; 4 tickets to men and women's basketball games
