I saw something somewhere one of Saban's homes was purchased by a booster.

I don't think by a booster, but by the university. Seems they figured out that they can get free of property taxes by shifting ownership to a tax-free institution (like the state university).

At least, seems that's what I read.

It literally only makes sense if it’s Gruden. If I’m Tee and I’m asked to coach under Miles, Cut, or Steele, I’m absolutely hanging up the phone.
