'18 TN OL/DL Cade Mays (Transfer)

Any truth to the scuttlebutt he eliminated UT today, naming Georgia, Clemson, and Ohio State as his top three?

Don't beg Mays to come to Tenn..............let him go. Someone else is just as good. We haven't stooped that low to beg a player to come here. Bye and good riddance. i

ummm, k?

Still think he gives a look at Tn even tho he said he was permanently eliminating Tn. That said, think the Tn coach AND OL coach has to be hired by Dec 15, his final OV..

I spoke with Cade a little bit last night, and while it maybe cracks the door open slightly for Tennessee — whereas it seemed to be a done deal that he absolutely wasn't going to sign with the Vols about 48 hours ago — Mays made it sound like it really isn't a huge deal to him that Fulmer is the AD. He's more worried about who the coach is going to be. Mays' father obviously has a good relationship with Fulmer and played for him back in the early to mid-'90s, but Cade made it clear to me that he's going to be the one making the decision — not his dad — and he's still much more interested in UT's coaching hire.
As of right now, it doesn't sound like Mays even is planning to visit Tennessee. If the Vols can convince him to change that, I'll say they have at least a legitimate shot.

If you are good enough, the pros will come running. If you listen to the intro during a pro game, many are from very small colleges. If you're good, they will come. Doesn't matter if you played at OSU or Texas Tech.

Play for the school you love, not the coach.

I agree with you but that is due to our age. Kids now relate more to the coach , not the school. Back in the 60's and 70's kids did play for the school.............regretfully no more...example: Higgins , from the Knoxville area playing for Clemson as a freshman wide receiver. Has been a Tenn fan all his life. However, he wants to play for a national championship team. Can you blame him ???? I can't. Also, he may get his wish this year. As a matter of fact I watched him play for Clemson last night.

Social media is making these kids think the world revolves around them because old men go on there and beg them to commit and tell them how great they are.

It may be the worst invention ever and is destroying society but that’s another topic.

Either way let this attention whore go.
