Go back and look at the 1998 Kentucky football season. Look at all the points they scored. One of Kentucky’s better seasons in recent memory.

It is beginning to filter up to some good programs, what Art Briles did at Baylor was amazing

Dude you need a Xanax or Valium or something. At least wait until somebody comes out with an actual list of potential coaches or something before going off the deep end. Or maybe even wait til a front runner is announced?

I don’t want a KS hire either and like you I’m concerned that the signs are pointing that way but my goodness.

Laager do you think Fulmer is coming out with a list of coaches.....
let me know when a list of coaches comes from Fulmer..
I suppose its all politics and Fulmer knew from the get go who he is getting...just like Currie and crew did....and you see how that turned out

Wins and losses. No one is saying Leach or those offenses can't score a lot of points in the SEC. I am saying they can't win championships

He was nervous knowing he was going to be a POS human being with what he was about to do. And he wants Frost to like him because he wants to be one of the cool football guys.

Lol this is more likely to be true than not

Heard Hyams says “I expect the candidate pool to open up........significantly.”

Could tell he meant that Currie was a big hurdle for us.

Two things:

1. Currie was hated at K-State (couldn't get along with Snyder and ran off Frank Martin). We were warned by K-State fans when we hired him that he was an autocratic control freak who could raise money like crazy but couldn't get along with anyone. That points to problems getting along with coaches in general.

2. Fulmer is highly respected in coaching circles and rightfully so. He's likable, intelligent, and down to Earth and anyone looking at the job knows they'd have an AD who wants to win more than they do.

Fulmer's name alone would've opened the pool but when you combine it with Currie's name closing it things should be even greater. The problem is whether or not we're too late to the game.

I think it's one of those questions that have to be asked. If a coach doesn't want it to be asked, then don't agree to it. You can tell the new school you are interested but want to finish. Heck, McMurphy has the numbers of the contract so talks have been extensive.

So you don’t think Oklahoma could win the sec?

OU isn't build around pace as much like some of these other offenses. It's all about pace for me and besides OU for years has taken pride on defesne. Hal mumme joked about never punting and hurrying up and getting the ball back for his offense by letting the other team score.
