What a day to be a Vol. I’m proud of all of you. Just so dang proud. You know how many times I almost created that other thread?? But we’re srill here and we’re still kicking.

It’s Gruden till it ain’t. Cause you never say no to nothin’.

 That's right!

I moved here to take a job in the administration at Charlotte school of law. Apparently, I’m drawn to dumpster fires. I obviously resigned when I realized the scam they were running. Now I’m in legal at a bank along with the rest of Charlotte. I’m nearly 40 and have never been so homesick in my life!

Well get your tail home girl!! :)

One of John Currie's absolute biggest and most basic mistakes was, he didn't manage expectations with the fan base. He didn't (1) take the time to listen, to learn our mood, to figure out what we expected and desired, nor (2) communicate back to us what he saw as realistic, feasible.

Not his only mistake, but one of his biggest.

I expect Phil not to make that mistake. I expect one of his first official acts to be communicating with us, letting us know he has an idea what we're looking for, and beginning to manage our expectations to keep things realistic.

Note: that last part may be painful, especially for those of us 100% locked in on JG. We'll have to wait and see.

I agree because Coach Fulmer is one of us, not a transplant that looks at the fan base as beneath him. He has his life invested in this university and I believe that will be what guides him. Currie never understood that nor cared to.

Banner Elk, NC myself.

Always nice to meet fellow NC VOLS.

Oh and shout out to Grand as a fellow Erwin native.

I miss Banner Elk. When I was still in school (MTSU, not UT, so a bit of a drive) I used to drive to Banner Elk every other weekend and ski at Sugar, Beech, App, etc... Love it there.

OK, trying desperately to catch up. I just called in sick (= sick of working) for the rest of the day.

Is it true that powers-that-be were trying to get Reid Sigmon (sp?) in as acting AD? --who has worked for the Browns and has deep Haslam ties, even though he is no doubt a lovely person.

And if Phillip Fulmer is indeed named as acting/interim AD, does that mean that we fans won yet ANOTHER battle in the fight against HoH, the House of Haslam?

If so, then:
