As long as this ends up with us getting a good coach then great.

But if we end up with someone like a Doeren or a Steele, I will be livid at best. Or apathetic at worst .

Vol Twitter needs to light up the AD and advocate for Leach. I've not seen so many people scared about a hire as I have from other fan bases in the past 12-14hrs when they learned about Leach to UT.

I can' pick sides on this one. Too many opinions coming in from each side. I am going to have to be in wait and see mode. I do want to believe that Fulmer is trying to do what is best for the university though. Weird times to be a Vol.

This is what is about to go down:

Fulmer hires Tee to mentor him. We will get a few former Vols coaching positions and we will right the ship and win 7 - 8 games for the next few years. Phil & boosters will be in control.

Meanwhile Bama, Clemson, & Ohio St will be winning championships. You can’t win championships by controlling coaches.

But hey maybe Phil will hire Gruden instead. Soon!!

We need to let the dust settle on this... People are making assumptions that are way off IMO.

Couple of things we know.... The Haslams did NOT want Fulmer as AD. The Haslams used a ramrod to get Currie hired as AD in the middle of the night.

This thing may get worse before it gets better but we were not going to win with Currie here. He has a terrible reputation and he is a Haslam puppet.

This. Currie was a Haslam puppet. Fulmer is not. This is good.

Tennessee athletics is like a third-world banana republic.

If they were going to fire Currie yesterday and he went to Leach on his own like being said, Fulmer didn’t block it. In this case, Currie knew he was fired and was trying for a Hail Mary to save himself.

Just because you don’t answer your phone doesn’t mean you’re not fired. It’s like George on Seinfeld. He kept showing up for work after he quit.

Currie in his own plane?

Holy cow!!

This is insane. So whose camp fired him?

University for going rogue

Or Haslam for bringing Leach?

How is this not a good thing? Fulmer loves the university! Fulmer wants to win! We currently are a laughing stock in the NCAA. Let’s get behind this! Let the big guy work!

You're going to feel less good when Kevin Steele is hired. Hubbs said Steele "remains a possibility" and that Leach is not expected to be hired.

It's Steele.

We're all going to hate Fulmer for hiring him, Steele will be fired in 4 years after posting an Ed O at Ole Miss record, and the Haslams will hire the next guy in 2020.

But? We pulled? Peyton’s VFL card. He? Said ok...Schiano and lost to Florida and hates Tee...and puppies?

We hate everybody. Hate is fluid at UT. There's absolutely nobody this fanbase won't turn against and attack like jackals.

Check the menu for the hatred du jour.

Also shame on the national media for using "sabotage" as the word for what Fulmer has done.

He completely stayed out of the entire process until Currie tried to sneak Schiano in with Jimmy Haslam's blessing. Only after that fiasco did Fulmer go to DiPietro and say Currie is in over his head.

Nick are we def getting some bacon now?

Someone please fill me in. 60 pages?!?! At work and don't have no time for that.

Don't believe fulmer is the bad guy here. Remember with Haslam, he's a dirty little **** stick. He is releasing his side of the story.

Currie might have gone rogue because he was done listening to Haslam. praise him for that and remember Haslams are still the problem.
