This seems to be bad now and it is but this may be where we quit digging and start climbing out. That's the way I'm looking at it. There are some power players definitely in a brawl over there. The winner has yet to be determined. The fans and the program are collateral damage right now.

So how is it acceptable for Fulmer to undermine Currie and Peyton to sign off on Schiano? It’s like a slap fight between two idiots—we just aired dirty laundry in front of the nation. Who the hell going to come here for this side show? By the way, you put Phil in that’s fine did it take rolling the program in dog crap and shooting it in the head to get here? This program is in big trouble. I’m not saying this is the end—-but I don’t know how you bounce back from this? Who comes here? Fulmer acolytes? What happens when they fail? You won’t have any more legends to draw from. Tee Martin will probably be seasoned and then be a viable coach—-and he’ll probably steer clear from this mess. We’ll be on a Vanderbilt/Kentucky arch then...it’s just crap.

Biggest difference in Fulmer vs Hamilton, Hart and Currie

Fulmer loves UT and wants to see UT win. That is fact.

Also, Currie is hated by coaches and has a terrible reputation. Coaches would LOVE to work for Fulmer.
Fulmer was the National President of College Coaches Association. He’s a legend.

Game changer IMO

The Haslams wanted Currie. Charlie and Peyton wanted Fulmer. Don't think Fulmer didn't know or has forgotten.

But? We pulled? Peyton’s VFL card. He? Said ok...Schiano and lost to Florida and hates Tee...and puppies?

I know the joke of "this will be a good 30 for 30 one day"..but it's so true now. Would be can't miss TV.

What is actual going on. Never seen anything like if

So we wait until Currie has Leach on the hook ready to reel him in before we fire him? We can't even correctly fire people now!!! :mf_surrender:

"Ole Miss is getting pummeled by the NCAA right now and no one will even know it is going on because of Tennessee."

Would love Tee. Would unite the fanbase. Tennessee man may be just what we need.

If not, go back and get Leach

For how long? We fuss about hiring a coach with a lot of experience and winning at smaller schools but want to bring in someone who has absolutely no HC experience in the situation? Would be Suicide forte.

Tennessee athletics is like a third-world banana republic.

We are the most entertaining thing going on the sports world right now.

At least we have that going for us, which is nice.

Fulmer unselfishly helped ETSU reestablish our program and assisted us in hiring football people and coaches, for nominal (comparatively) pay.

We know he wants what is best for the UT program. Let's hope his decision-making and available options line up and he can produce a quality hire.

I'm afraid a lot of the fans themselves have crossed a point of no return into crazy land and almost nothing will pull them out if it. A consistent turning against everyone on here. That WILL 100% kill this program.

Since 2002 our biggest problem has been that our Administration has not cared about winning. Today could be a big step towards that changing.

Big picture here guys.

Here's a little more that I have gathered.

The meeting this morning was very brief with Currie and the Tennessee brass including Davenport.

PR people are gathered to work on statements

It will be interesting to see how it's worded and whether or not they are trying to remove Currie with cause. Rumblings that Currie is seeking the legal counsel.

I was told that Currie didn't use a UT donor plane but used the plane of a friend of his yesterday to go to California, which is interesting in the whole narrative that Currie was out acting on is own Thursday after Dave Doeren elected to stay at NC State.

Currie has been in trouble all week. This didn't just happen last night. UT is waiting to be served in the Schiano matter. Nobody does FUBAR like UT.
