I can confirm, Currie wants to hire LEACH.

But others do not agree. Don't think leach is going to win.

The public only sees Currie as fumbling this search up, but that's not actually the case. He had a strong list and has been overruled on just about every candidate.

Gundy was Curries coach as was Brohm and he's fought with Bev and Jim and lost both times.

Now he's fighting to get Leach hired.

Question: If Lane had stayed one more year and then we got a 5 year death penalty. Would you take that over our present reality?

Like I said, Currie isn’t the problem.

Y'all can cheer about Currie getting fired, but IMO hiring a coach like Leach is a bigger sign that the Haslams lost power than Currie getting fired. The Haslams control the people above Currie. Of course they would fire him for trying to hire Leach.

I would consider Currie redeemed if he came out and burned The Haslams to the ground with some truth bombs

So they're sending Currie out before before everybody has agreed on a candidate and he comes back to Knoxville to get it approved. We'll never hire anybody. Nobody wants to work for that. We'll definitely have to go cheap with all of these buyouts. Trot out George Quarles so we can stop hearing about him or Bill Clark.

Vol Col. saying Currie went rogue trying to hire Leach. And Haslam got pissed. I don't buy Currie going rogue.

If true, there's no reason to be cheering Currie's departure. The House of Haslam still reigns supreme.

We need to keep our eyes on the ball and not pop champagne over Currie getting canned, if that's what has happened.

God we are so screwed. Gonna end up with Steele and go 9-36. Fulmer will tell us he needs more time though and give him 4 more years. I knew not to get caught up in the Leach talk.

I don't know what to believe. Either Currie is the yes man to the Haslams or he's gone wrong to try and hire a good coach in Leach and that's why he's being ousted. What is true?

If the latter, then we're even more screwed than ever.

I’m scared this is true. Leach would have been great here. I’m absolutely speechless.

We know what the end game here is. Fulmer wants control to hire his ex-Vol Kevin Steele for the job. Don't let Fulmer escape our wrath just because he is a "Tennessee Man".

He is carrying out the issue's demands. Getting rid of him is a HUGE power swing.

Haslam family is on the ropes.

Not if the Haslams are the ones who got him fired because he went after Leach. They're solidifying their power, not losing it.

Remember that Fulmer is close with the Haslams.
