Wow. A caller just called into the sports animal. Said his wife is friends with Curries wife.

Caller stated Curries wife was an emotianl wreck yesterday crying telling her, " He just did what they told him to do".

Pat Ryan said, "Yes, it's not a good situation for John or his family".
She should’ve married someone who had a pair hanging between his legs. Her fault for marrying a yes man.

I swear to god if Fulmer screws us out of an opportunity to hire the Pirate I'm going to be pissed.

Not confident at all Currie gets this thing done

Not really convinced Currie is the issue anymore.

Yes, he's mucked this up and ultimately does not need to keep his job, but the problems run much deeper. If he gets fired people will celebrate, but nothing will change so long as the Haslams retain their malignant grip on Tennessee.

I think Feldman is pointing it out to pressure the hire. Leach wants the job, fans want it, some in the AD want it.

correct. there needs to be a consensus to oust the haslams from influence. They. Will. Not. Vouch. For. You. If. You're. Fired.

Ok - regarding this point......

He absolutely MUST recruit better here and he will be given more resources here for sure. But recruiting in the SEC is a tough grind. You have to love doing it. I don't know that he fits that.

Also, I think he's done really well at smaller places because he doesn't really need the flash that a program like UT offers. He is a really good coach but I don't think having the UT brand really helps him reach new heights.

First of all, having coached as long as he has I believe he understands he would have to bring in top 15 recruiting class every year. Also, He can surround himself with experienced SEC recruiters. One other thing you haven't mentioned when you talked about him being successful at smaller schools but that isn't as easy as you make it sound when you play OU, Texas, A&M and TCU. And here is the best part your leaving out, He did it with far less talent which tells me he can coach players up. That's what we need with the talent we do have. Just my 2 cents.

Glad Feldman put that out there. If this doesn't happen, we will know that we were the ones that blew it.

And we should gIve them hell over it.

Also, Fulmer and Peyton do not appear to be helping.

Not much difference between top 10 and top 20. He’s been doing fairly well with top 50 classes. At this point he’s our best option left

You can't win in this conference when you finish in the bottom half of the league in recruiting.

Defensive lines will blow up the O line and his offense won't score points. We won't be able to stop anyone on defense.

Gotta recruit studs to win in the SEC. It's not the Pac where you can win with points alone.

This guy can’t win here. It’s gonna be a 3 year maybe 4 year marriage.

However I will say this. I would rather have Leach the way we got him than to be force fed that 💩 sandwich option 1 of Greg Schiano they tried to serve us.
