I still feel bad about that. I crashed hard when it was wrong. I'm now convinced the misinformation campaign is at insane levels. I just hope Leach isn't another lie.

Why do we have a misinformation campaign. Its just a waste of resources. Mind boggling.

Nick posted this earlier and if you haven’t read it you need to: Tennessee's Fans Know More Than John Currie and the Haslams - Outkick the Coverage

Calls out the national media:

And where do they get that coaching news?

Via text message or phone calls from coaches and agents.

That’s not particularly difficult work, it just requires you to have good relationships with agents or coaches. I’m not saying that’s a bad thing — there are many coaches and agents I really like and have great relationships with — but what’s the value added proposition of a national college football writer at this moment in time? Virtually zero. So what do they do? They work to protect the coaches and administrators who text and call them. Because if those texts and calls stop, what audience do they have?

So when given the choice between attacking the fans or the coach and administrators they almost always defend the coach and administrators. (Until, that is, the coach or administrator gets fired and suddenly all the actually juicy information they really wanted to write becomes fair game).

I have put my cup back on just in case Leach is our kick of the day. I’m gonna keep my eye on Feldman’s twitter all day. He will be the one to break yes or no.

I went out and bought a brand new steel cup. The other couldn't take another kick without a risk of a permanent high girly voice.

Wow. A caller just called into the sports animal. Said his wife is friends with Curries wife.

Caller stated Curries wife was an emotianl wreck yesterday crying telling her, " He just did what they told him to do".

Pat Ryan said, "Yes, it's not a good situation for John or his family".

For those not sold on Leach. If Florida hired him, would you be concerned? If answer is yes, he’s the guy to get.

Great point :good!: All aboard matey

Leach is a good football coach but I think he's gonna have to tweak his offense at least a little bit in order to have big success here. You absolutely have to be able to run the football. I also have a hard time seeing him doing well in recruiting. IMO his staff will have to be filled with dynamic recruiters.

Tomorrow the dominoes will fall . Jimmy Sexton article said it’s always biggest day of the year, scrambling to place clients in the best situations. Currie would be wise (he’s not) to get this done today

I think this is the first time I've disagreed with you since joining.

Here's my concerns:

Everyone is talking about his DC being great. They gave up 58 to Arizona, 37 to 3-3 Cal, 41 to Washington. Other than those games he did pretty well though. But does it translate to the SEC?

Can he recruit with the big boys in the SEC? I say no. He's going to have to add some big time recruiters to his staff.

His team got to #8 in the country and then no showed against Cal. (this is a little nit picky I admit)

16 seasons as HC - only 6 with 9+ wins

He's never won a conference title and has only won his division one time and it was a 3 way tie.

I think his offense would work here well enough to win some games. But if you want to hoist a trophy in Atlanta you better have an awesome defense with some beasts on the defensive line and you better be able to run the ball. Huge question marks for him and evidence doesn't point towards him getting those things done well enough to win big here.

I think this is a 7-5 to 8-4 type hire.

I woke up today, checked Twitter to make sure Doeren wasn’t coming, and then didn’t feel like reading 20 pages of people arguing with drylo and Bruin about how terrible he is.

It’s Brylo, same dude, basement dwelling internet warrior. 39 years old, lives with his mom

That actually makes me pretty sad...**** every single Haslam. Pieces of ****.

But perhaps the biggest evolution of Leach’s offense through the years, and a significant reason why Wazzu’s offense is so difficult to defend, is in its ability to run the ball. Washington State had a run-blocking grade in 2015 that was surprisingly even higher than that of Alabama. On film you can see why. Leach uses large splits on run plays as well, and Washington State’s line is proficient and efficient at the outside zone play.

For anyone curious, Leach has said that his most favorite aspect of the game is probably offensive and defensive line play.

As long as he can adapt where needed in the SEC, I think he will be successful. He's one of those coaches that can win any game any day.

He is getting approval for the numbers with Bev imo.

If she doesn't screw it up, we probably hire the Pirate. Those two have to be the two most incompetent people to ever perform a coaching search though, so prepare thy cups

You'd think they have to be tired of screwing this up and will just get the deal done considering the majority of fans and media will love this hire.
