With the way we've screwed up this search, and the people we've ticked off along the way, I believe the only half-way decent coaches who would take the job are Les and Tee. Period. I'm not even sure Tee would take it now and I'm only saying Les because rumors say he supposedly has said he would take it.

I believe we're wasting our time on anybody else, including Lane. He's just trolling. Other than those 2 our only hope might be if Currie is kicked aside and somebody else, like Phil, takes over.

I know what you meant. Just wish we hire a coach and get this over with now that we have been turned down by all the CJ clones.

Wait, I get off the board for a while and come back on and we've gone from Skeeter fireworks and Sumlin, to now maybe Leach? And Cade going to Clemson? WTF--- did Sumlin turn us down already or is this just speculation?

He doesn't even call plays, he doesn't have his own offense. He is struggling getting hired by the south Alabama's and he southerns of the world. There is so much more that goes into being the head coach other than hiring a good staff. It would end in disaster and he would hate TN, and many of the fans would hate him. It's not a good idea.

Only reason I haven’t been on board with tee is bacause it would break my heart if he failed, just like I felt when we canned Fulmer, so yeah I concur with the above posts

Some reporter twitted that he wasn't interested. Not sure how reliable the guy is.

I seriously give up. Whatever. I had hope this evening for Sumlin and Les... Sumlin would have recruited like a champ. F this place again. We go past Sumlin and Les and go to Leach, then I'm back off the train. Brohm could still swoop in at the last minute but there is no hope for this search to end well. This AD and Haslams will not stop until it is rubble.

I legit felt sick to my stomach after Phil's last game. Little did I know we would be where we are 10 years later. I guess my gut was right on that one.
