You are correct, but Haslam has to be neutered as well. So what if Blackburn or anyone else will stand up to him, his influence will still reign supreme if he's not ousted.
Strong words to say I have no pride, but everyone is entitled to their opinions, I suppose.
Guys.
Don't get distracted by this coach, that coach or the other coach. Focus on FIRE CURRIE.
As soon as Currie is fired, we need to IMMEDIATELY call for Blackburn. In full force.
Then, THEN, we call for the very best coach for Tennessee, who HAS NOT SAID NO.
Impossible, The Schiano story would not have happened if that was the case. Too many people were involved, and Schiano would have never allowed his reputation to be drug around in the mud like that. Also there were direct comments and interviews from Meyer, and the AD of Ohio State. There is NO way that UT used Schiano as a smoke screen to keep the heat off Gruden.

You only need to remove Haslam from the hire. Power loss. Regardless of what he can try and do after this fact, once a new AD is in he loses this battle.
Moving forward, he can continue on with his agenda but it won't matter in terms of what has happened , he was negated and made null and void on this decision for a coach. This is the battle first and foremost as it is the point of the exercise, getting the coach.
Just heard on the radio that we are moving to Sumlin
