NO TO MORRIS!!!!! FIRE CURRIE NOW!!!! Currie doesn't deserve to make this hire, it's a travesty after the tacky end around dirty play him and Hassy tried to pull.

I knew I had read it at some point today!! I've been slaving away on twitter, here, and a couple other places.

Poppa T you are one smart man.

They made a mistake in their assessment of the other party's wants/needs. They trusted that Currie would need the Gruden hire and it sounds like he made them believe he did. They underestimated Haslams control over Currie. And assumed they were honorable and had the best interest of UT in mind.

Currie/Haslam underestimated their control over whomever leaked the Schiano news.

Haslam does not subscribe to the negotiation practice that a successful negotiation is one where both parties walk away feeling good about the agreement.

Instead of Currie looking like a hero, he looks like a weak, empty suit.

Instead of a win/win for all parties, we may be looking at a lose/lose.

Let's hope our side can act before Currie implements Haslam's second poison pill.

Amazing if true.

Kiffin stabs us in the back and leaves in the middle of the night.

Now it's our own AD and power hungry booster stabbing us in the back by bringing in an unwanted coach in the middle of the night.

Unbelievable.

So at this point, Currie can’t hire just anybody now. Plus he’s gotta save his job. Gonna be hard for him to trot out Doeren or Morris. We can’t hire another Butch. I applaud him for at least trying to get Gundy but why did he let us get played like that in the media again. He has literally made us the laughing stock of the football world. He will either give in to what some want and hire a UT guy with a staff of Vols or go out and try to hire another big name and hope to not get publicly turned down again. How does this guy still have a job?? Sorry had to vent a little and all the other threads are boring.

Another thread is reporting the offensive coordinator for Morris, who played qb at MTSU, is stating its a done deal as of about an hour ago - but who knows who to believe about anything

Because they think we will just roll over and take it just like we always have but not me, not this time. Now is the time to get the coach we need not just whoever says yes.

I also want to say I am not trying to give anyone any false hope. Many including myself were so wrong in underestimating Currie/Haslam. No one has any idea how this thing finishes but you do have people trying everything in their power to get UT a great coach.

If true, this is worse than Norvell, Brohm, Doeren, Campbell, etc.

Haslam can EAD and choke if this comes to pass. This is about as exciting as a root canal and castration, at the same time.

How do you exploit a weakness right now. The FBI is watching and investigating, prominent family, political aspirations for the family.

It has to get messy.

May be to late. Some are saying Morris has accepted the job already via phone . Please stop this if true

you have any insight on this alleged Morris "done deal"?

That is all we have asked of the UTAD but it seems to have fallen on deaf ears. Maybe they will hear when Chad Morris is coaching in front of an empty Neyland Stadium but hell that would make them even happier because it would save on the renovations.

Thanks for saying that. Question, if Currie is trying to hurry up on a hire to circumvent Gruden, why would he talk to Gundy and waste a day? Almost everyone said Gundy wouldn’t leave Okie St. Seems like Morris is ready to go. Why not go straight to Morris to push through a quick hire?

Understandable. A negotiation adage an old mentor shared with me ... age and treachery beats youth and enthusiasm.
I've seen it too many times.

So you want someone else to read all the Gruden threads for you because you don’t feel like it and then answer your question the way you want it to be answered. Is there anything else we can do for you?

What lol. I didn’t say anyone had to answer it the way I wanted. I was curious. Yes it would be a breath of fresh air if they just admit ther were full of BS.

Sounds like we are getting Chad.
