If it is true we are paying Gundy $8.4 million, I will have to find another team on general principle. We could have hired Nick Saban for that.

1. It’s not true.
2. No “great” coach is coming to Tennessee no matter what we’re offering.

ITs coming out that it was less than that which is believable. 6ish is probably more like the accurate number. But 6ish also means he probably won’t be packing up his family for that raise. Currie will not pay a coach 8 mil a year.

I just have to hope we offered Petersen that first and he just declined.

$6.25 million is quite a bit more than a Gundy hire should rate...our AD is desperate to get anyone to take the job. Not saying Gundy is good or bad choice, just saying the salary is RIDICULOUS.

WTF?! Why would u care if the boosters are paying more than you think the coach deserves? He is a huge improvement, especially from the entertainment aspect. No pleasing some ppl. If you are going to stop cheering for a team bc you think the boosters are too willing to over-spend their own money to get a great coach, then go whack off to the best black friday shopping deals or some crap. football aint for you

You sound like the kind of guy that, if you found a $100 bill in a mud puddle, would complain that it's a little dirty.

Gundy is a great coach and we'd be lucky to have him. Stop whining.

Just stop some you wouldn’t be satisfied with General Neyland. If it’s Gundy we need to prove to the nation what we did made a difference and rally behind the new coach.
